It's been pretty cool from the beginning but with episode 7 they just hit the awesome switch, imho.

Damon Lindelof returns to tv with The Leftovers. Based on a book by Tom Perrotta the show is co-written with him. It premieres Sunday night (June 29) on HBO.

AV Club - The Leftovers is bleak, brutal, brilliant television (grade=A)

Sounds very interesting and it would be fun to discuss it here.

I see that there's a YouTube user that has posted Utopia series 1. Not sure if it's an approved channel or how long these episodes will be up, but there they are.

The BBC deosn't rate shows but I'd say Utopia would be TV-MA, Mature Audiences: violence and language. I don't like shows with gratuitous use of either but I think in this case it serves the story. The show caught some attention last year when it aired for a controversial scene and it's general, erm, intensity.

It a story about people who know each other from an online forum and get drawn together IRL. I mean, c'mon!  ;D

Utopia - Episode 1
Utopia - Episode 2
Utopia - Episode 3
Utopia - Episode 4
Utopia - Episode 5
Utopia - Episode 6

Episode 3 was not found on that YouTube channel but I found it streaming from another source, standard def tho.

Here's to hoping I can get you hooked on Utopia. The first series was only 6 episodes. I'm re-watching it now.

They haven't announced an exact date for series 2 yet but early July seems likely.

Malificent was seen early in season 1 when Regina paid her a visit to procure the dark curse.

YouTube clip

Early on I got into OUAT and did some screencaps for awhile. Like LOST there was a lot of detail in the props and set dressing. I remember waiting for Regina to get busted for keeping that heart box on her office desk. An early easter egg, the town clock stopped at 8:15, is in this set of pics from OUAT 102.

The first season was just 6 episodes and aired about a year ago. It's the best thing I've seen on tv in a long time. It hits the ground running and keeps going. Mysterious and intense, music, story, acting, cinematography, this thing hits on all cylinders, imho. Here's the teaser trailer on YouTube.

BluRay and DVD for season 1 is available but I don't see that it is available streaming anywhere. It's a Channel 4 (BBC) show so they may air season 1 again soon on BBC America. The airdate for season 2 has not been announced but is expected to debut in early July from what I've heard.

It's great to have SWLS back online. I've missed y'all too. I thought Once Upon A Time started out great and very Lost-ish with the parallel stories between Storybrooke and Fairy Tale Land (FTL) in season 1, but I became less enamored with it as they got distracted with spinning off OUAT in Wonderland. That said, I think the finale of S3 was great. I'm paying closer attention to it again. Who'd a thunk that ring would be so important? screencaps from OUAT 106

This is a theory from timelooptheory.com that I thought was pretty good.

I'm not sure if it's a done deal but it sounds interesting, especially the part about them being "former black-ops" agents.  I've read elsewhere it will have less 'mythology', we'll see.

hey, how about the symbols/writing on the plug in the light cave...
there is so much, thanks eric!

I was interested in the glyphs on the keystone/plug too and took a lot of screengrabs from the scene where Desmond wrastles it out. I will get the scene with Jack putting it back too. It you want all the pics from this scene for further analysis I posted a zip file here. The light was changing in the scene so having a variety of frames helps.

Interesting shot parallels like beam of light and the upshot of the waterfall -- reminiscent of shots of the hatch.

Okay, I haven't read this whole thread (so this was probably mentioned), but Kelvin was not buried. I think Clancy Brown still has a chance to be cast in Hugo and Ben's crazy island adventures in "The Others", the painfully obvious sequel to Lost.

It looks to me like a grouper, possibly a reference to Lost groupies, jumping a shark that is jumping our beloved lostie Claire.  Or it could be a sea bass, in which case I don't like the mixed metaphor any more, well, at least not as much. ;) :D

Eric...thank you sincerely and deeply for your work. You NEVER failed to come through on any request and I can't remember 1 moment of you asking for any sort of pat on the back.

Great job, and I did make the spagetti western stand off my new desktop.

BTW, I never mentioned it before, but I love your avatar. Fits for you being the mad genius on here. B)

Thanks man, I'm your huckleberry (used ironically, of course). This screencappin' has been fun and takes me down some interesting rabbit holes sometimes. I do have a fondness for mad scientist characters (they're so motivated!) and Dr. Strangelove is one of my favorites.

Since it was brought up, could you find the shot of the shark hanging from the ceiling over Claire at the museum just before she has Aaron?

My pleasure. It looks to me like a grouper, possibly a reference to Lost groupies, jumping a shark that is jumping our beloved lostie Claire.  Or it could be a sea bass, in which case I don't like the mixed metaphor any more, well, at least not as much. ;) :D

I believe Charlie's tattoo says, "Living is easy with eyes closed misunderstanding all you see".
