Episode 6x16 / The only thing I'm going to post about the finale
« on: May 24, 2010, 01:52:35 PM »
Without getting into all the issues I'm sure people are having, the only things I have to say about the finale are these final thoughts. Feel free to respond, I'm probably not going to be checking on the replies.

1) I liked it. I thought it was interesting how they took everyone insisting that the island was purgatory, and used that for what the side flash was (maybe not the actual purgatory, but something close to it).

2) I'm glad that Kate finally did SOMETHING.

Later on guys, it's been fun talking to you.

He was a pretty rotten character, I dunno why anyone would want him alive to begin with...

Doesn't matter, because he's dead.

Kelvin is still alive--we will see time jump back to the hatch.

Kelvin Big Black Rock Bob Cheers

Seriously hang this one up and walk away geesh who unlocked this cave? ;D

You know, I was alittle surprised to see it myself, but this is like one of my greatest pleasures in life. I've just learned to not abuse it.

Funny mug shot:

Oh Creflo, that is too good. You're not doing it justice though...

That's how you post that. LOL Well done sir.

Episode 6x15 / Re: 20 questions with Jacob....
« on: May 21, 2010, 10:54:32 AM »
I still say he didn't answer what they died for.

He deffinitely did answer this question by telling them everything else. He told them that all of the names of the people were candidates to be the next protector of the island, and all of what they have done and gone through was an effort to fix their flaws and make them "protector worthy".

Still don't see this.  The question posed to Jacob was what did Sun and Jin and Sayid die for, I believe.  So the answer is "They had to die to fix their flaws and make them protector-worthy?"  That doesn't make sense to me.

You're close, the answer is that they died trying to (unknowingly) prove they were worthy of protecting the island. I personally think that Jacob really screwed the pooch picking them, because neither one of them really had any desire to stay on the island. Except for Sun who had that little run of time (I forget in what season) where she wanted to NOT GO HOME, but that doesn't mean she wanted to stay on the island.

But Kelvin is the guy who told Desmond how pushing the button would save the world. Until it's over-over I'm still hoping for a glimpse of a flashback of this conversation. A few seconds in a Desmond montage would do.  ;)

Flashback of the conversation?? They did a whole episode about this in Season 2. What else are you looking for??

But Miles isn't the one that can communicate with them in that way. He only gets a sense about the person.

Oh you guys are so lucky to have me. Here's another good one for anyone that doesn't watch letterman.

They specifically ruled out a Sopranos-ish finale. I certainly hope they keep to this.

I also just read an article where they said that they both loved the soprano's ending because the creators had the balls to do it. The whole article made me more nervous about the ending than anything else.

Widmore said Jacob visited him and he knew the purpose now.
Than Smoky tells him that he is going to kill Penny when he leaves the island and
Widmore immediatly tells him all the secrets.
Doesn't sound like he firmly believed in Jacob, sounds like he believed that MIB would win
and leave the place and kill Penny.
Why bother about Penny if you believe that the world will end and everyone will cease to
exist if MIB leaves the island. Penny would be gone anyway?

Because it's his daughter Opie. Come on, have a heart. LOL

It was DJ equiptment. They were going to throw a party and not invite Locke, and hurt his feelings really, really bad. It's genius when you think about it, because Physical wounds heal, but mental scars are forever.

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

In my head I see MiB standing outside the sonic fences listening to Wild Wild West by Will Smith from a distance. Tiki torches and colorful paper lights decorate the trees obstructing his view.

Jack standing inside the fences:  Sorry, you can't come in, you're not welcome.

Flocke:  Don't tell me what I can't do!

Something tells me this question will remain unanswered for some people at 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

It's not unanswered though, he's dead.

We're talking about the bit part character who got his head smashed in and bled to death on the rocks.  Yeah he bled to DEATH. He's still dead. He'll still be dead on Sunday.

Watch them show him in the ALT and then everyone will start theorizing again that he is alive on Island too.

Exactly. He's dead.

Episode 6x15 / Re: Ashes to Jacob?
« on: May 20, 2010, 01:36:38 PM »
Boy Jacob can interact with objects and other people besides Hurley.

Ghost Jacob cannot interact with objects and can only appear to Hurley.

Why You ask?   Because the metaphysical make-up of a ghost consists of negatively charged antimatter. That makes them unable to interact with objects. Some people have the ability to see negatively charged antimatter and therefore the being can appear to them, and only them. This characteristic of ghosts allows them to pass through existance in a way that appears they appear and disappear, but it is really just them passing through the thin fabric of spacetime. As for Boy Jacob, he is a reincarnated spirit. He CAN interact with objects because his metaphysical make-up is largely comprised of Gindlerods. Gindlerods are a very rare mutant strain of atoms that allow someone to have the abilities of Ghosts, and still be able to interact with objects.

So Gindlerod-Composed Jacob is working along side his Ghost counterpart. Gindlerod Jacob built the fire while Ghost Jacob watched. Once the fire was burning, Gindlerod Jacob went to Hurley and got the ashes, then brought them back to the fire and threw them in. Once the ashes were thrown in, which by the way were the positively charged counterpart to the matter in Ghost Jacob, Jacob was able to be seen by all. Thus the Gindlerod Jacob and the Ghost Jacob Fused and became the Daywalker!

Are these the kind of answers we are looking for with Lost? Long, complicated, drawn out, nonsense ramblings of the motives behind the writers' vision? I certainly hope not, because a show like this would suck. I am so happy the writers don't sit the characters in front of us and explain why Boy Jacob is there sometimes, and Adult Jacob is there sometimes. I am not a child. One can interact with objects, and one can't. That's all that is really important.

I actually like this explanation. I know you're just kidding, and I am being serious about it, but yes, the long drawn out answers would be nice, if they made sense like what you wrote. I was actually about to ask you if you were one of those "Ghost Hunters" from that ridiculously lame show, because everything you said made about as much sense as the non-sense that spews out of their stupid faces. LOL Good Work.
