Episode 4x03 / Penny
« on: February 14, 2008, 11:18:44 PM »
What's with all the weird reactions when Des asked about Penny?  Were they all supposed to be along in the lie that Penny sent them to find des and they didn't want to admit it?  Or did Penny really send them...but lied to Charlie?  Or do they recognize the name Widmore because her dad is their boss?

Episode 4x01 / The Big Secret
« on: January 31, 2008, 11:19:09 PM »
What's the deal with Jack asking Hurley if he told anyone?  Told anyone what?  What lies did they have to tell in order to become the Oceanic 6?  Could the secret be that there were people left on the island?  Or did they have to come up with a different story of survival to go along with the finding of the plane in the Sunda Trench?  Was that part of the deal?

Episode 4x01 / Hurley's Visions
« on: January 31, 2008, 11:15:55 PM »
Ok.  Hurley had some visions in this episode...or did he?
First, he saw Charlie by the ho-hos, which made him run in the first place.  Then there was that whole underwater thing in the police station, followed by the actual meeting of Charlie.  And Charlie says, "I am dead.  But I'm also here."  What up with that?  Is this another vision produced by Hurley similar to Dave?  Dave occured as a result of the deck crash, maybe Charlie is here because Hurley feels guilty about leaving the island?

Spoiler Theories and Speculation / Widmore/Hanso/Black Rock
« on: January 08, 2008, 02:18:39 PM »
This is from DarkUFO's site.  They set up a little game of hangman and had people vote on which letter will be revealed.  Anyhow, after only 3 letters someone correctly guessed this highly interesting spoiler:

"At an auction place Mr Widmore bids on a prize item from the personal collection of Alvar Hanso : a journal from the Black Rock ship"

Dark adds this:
So what do you think of the spoiler? Confirmation that Widmore plays a larger part in the conspiracy? Which Episode do you think this will be from and whose flashback/flashforward?

I wonder how a journal from a lost ship ended up in possession of Alvar Hanso?  I'm guessing the journal belonged to Magnus Hanso- it's about time they got around to the story arc.  And why is Hanso putting items up for auction?  Especially a journal that may have belonged to his grandfather?  I also wonder- this seems like a high end auction house, I wonder who else showed up...Paik?  And who's flashback/forward would reveal ties to Widmore?  Des is all I can think of...but it doesn't seem likely to me that he would be hangin out with Mr. Widmore doing some shopping.  Hm!

Find 815 / Fly Oceanic Air

Hey guys!  Seems like there might be a version of TLE up!  Check this out from lostpedia:

New Alternate Reality Game "Find 815" is well underway
By Nickb123, Lostpedia staff
Over the next month it appears fans will be able to wet their "Lost" appetites with a new alternate reality game entitled Find 815. The game's main protagonist appears to be Sam Thomas, an IT technician for Oceanic Airlines who is disgruntled by the company's decision to stop searching for Flight 815. Sam has been contacted by a mysterious individual or group, hinting that they may have the answers to what he seeks - what happened to Flight 815 and his girlfriend, Sonya.

The game is expected to end at the end of January 2008, coinciding with the Lost Season 4 premiere. Until then, fans can enjoy a tale which promises interesting revelations in the show's mythology.

I'm starting at, so those of us who look into this can share what we find here.

The first thing on that website is a Oceanic advertisment which then switches over to an employee of oceanic, with the words "" - my next hit!

General Spoiler Talk / The Oceanic 6
« on: December 11, 2007, 02:04:44 PM »

posted at darkufo's site:
Lynn in Decatur, Georgia: Please, tell me you've got something on Lost? I'm dying for anything!
I can tell you the biggest new question for season four is this: Who the hell are the Oceanic Six?! In Sayid's episode-three flashforward, he tells a contact he's one of the Oceanic Six, and he doesn't work anymore because of a settlement he received as the result of a plane crash. Okay now, hold the phone, Sayid: Does this mean only six Oceanic survivors got off the Island?! Say it with me now: Whaaa?!

As Kristin recently revealed in her last post, she asks who are the Oceanic 6? Well as I stated I've known about the Oceanic 6 for a while but until another site revealed it I was not at liberty to mention anything about it. This is the 6 that you've been seeing in the promo's and trailers.

Well the Oceanic 6 are the 6 people who get off the Island and are semi-famous. The question that you all want answered is actually quite easy to reveal based on the spoilers we've already collected over the last few months.

I hope that soon I will be able to reveal to you some more info......

But for now if you want to know who the Oceanic 6 are then click the button below.

The 6 are Sun, Jin, Kate, Jack, Hurley and Sayid.

Theories & Speculation / LOST Mobisode #2: Meet Neil Frogurt
« on: November 14, 2007, 03:10:05 PM »
Ok.  If this will be a front page article..sorry!  Here is the link to the new mobisode, be warned, it is on a spoiler site so if you don't want to read those just scroll down quick until you come to the Lost Mobisode 2 - Missing Pieces - Hurley and Frogurt  headline.

There is also a transcript posted!
Hurley and Frogurt (2min 05sec)

[Hurley walks out of a tent with a backpack]
Frogurt: Hello Hurley.
[Hurley turns around and something falls out of his backpack]
Hurley: Frogurt.
Frogurt: It's Neil.
Hurley: Neil.
Frogurt: What are you doing in Rose and Bernard's tent, Hurley?
Hurley: Nothing.
Frogurt: Nothing, huh?
[Frogurt picks up a DHARMA wine bottle that appears to have fallen
from Hurley's backpack]
Looks like you snagged some DHARMA cabernet.
Hurley: They said I could borrow it.
Frogurt: No worries, bro. I'm not here to get in your skin. If you
wanna steal from Bernie, steal from Bernie. I just have a question
for you. What's going on with you and Libby?
Hurley: What do you mean?
Forgurt: I mean are you going to make a move or not?
Hurley: None of your business, dude.
Frogurt: Look, Tubby, you're holding up the line. You and I both
know you're not going to get past doing laundry with her, so why don't
you back off, and let a real man in.
Hurley: Really?
Frogurt: Really.
Hurley: Well it just so happens I'm way past doing laundry with her.
Yeah that's right. In fact, I'm going on a date with her right now.
We're going on a picnic.
Frogurt: You got a date with her?
Hurley: Yeah. I'm bringing the wine, she's bringing the blankets.
Frogurt: Well played, Hurley. Well played. But it's not over. If
you can't close the deal with Libby, it's Neil-time - now and forever.
[Neil walks away]
[Hurley smiles and continues on]

Theories & Speculation / Vela Incident

I found this while browsing, here is the original link:

 The Vela Incident
Posted by DarkUFO at 2:27 PM (Comments: 3)
Labels: The Incident, The Island

Thought everyone might find this interesting...remote island, unexplained flashes, EMP burst captured by US Satellite (VELA 6911).

On 22 September 1979, sometime around 3:00am local time, a US Atomic Energy Detection System satellite recorded a pattern of intense flashes in a remote portion of the Indian Ocean. Moments later an unusual, fast-moving ionospheric disturbance was detected by the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, and at about the same time a distant, muffled thud was overheard by the US Navy's undersea Sound Surveillance System (SOSUS). Evidently something violent and explosive had transpired in the ocean off the southern tip of Africa.

Further reading:

The date is interesting.  Same as the plane crash.  The use of the word "incident" reminds me of the Orientation for the Swan.  And another thing, according to the Hanso Foundation website, Alvar Hanso used to be an arms dealer (but I think that was around WWII).

Hm.  Could be a possibility that the writers are using LOST as a sort of loose explanation, or have no tie in whatsoever!

Spoiler Theories and Speculation / DINOSAURS?!?!

Spoiler Theories and Speculation / Charlie...Resurrected?
« on: October 18, 2007, 10:28:01 PM »
I was looking through the rumors section on DarkUFO ( scroll down a bit) and found this interesting theory about Charlie.

Just received an email from PaceJunkie who is a well known poster on a number of Lost Forums etc. This is not really a rumour but more of a collection of tidbits of info that make for an interesting post/theory etc and as it contains possible spoilers/rumours the best place is the rumours section.

It's an interesting read nonetheless.

I don't know if you want to investigate this or just consider it a rumour, but a few things got me wondering whether Charlie may return in season five, and not just in flashback.

First there was your spoiler post quoting Damon when asked to give season four spoilers, the first thing he mentioned were the "save Charlie" T-shirts. Then, I learned from those who met Dom at London Film and Comic Con two weeks ago that on Saturday he was giving out stickers that said "I was Here Moments Ago". Here's the forum where they discuss it. Dom made sure everyone took one. He told someone getting an autograph that he could be back on Lost. I googled the phrase from the sticker and found your easter egg post showing that sticker on Charlie's guitar in GH. When fans asked him about the meaning behind his giving out those stickers at LFCC, he responded that it was a secret, but that "we would find out this time next year" (see Moffel's post from The Fuselage. There are other reports but I don't have links).

Could the mystery be that they learn in season four that Charlie's body is missing from the Looking Glass (when it was there moments ago) and in season five he somehow returns? There is still alot about that station and its white rabbit/black hole logo that is unexplained. Damon also said names mean something, and we know Charlotte Malkin (female form of Charlie) appeared to drown in icy water only to return. Also there is a new character cast called Charlotte who is "English, funny and in her 20's". Claire may now be left holding on to Charlie's ring without a body to bury very much like Rose did, always believing Bernard was alive when no one else did. Is that a clue that Charlie will return in a year like Bernard did? We still have Locke's vision of Charlie and Claire married in the airport from FI (note her wedding ring). Are these clues to Charlie's eventual resurrection via the mysterious island?

Whether it's enough to consider a spoiler or not, I just think Dom giving those stickers out at LFCC when he has supposedly moved on from Lost and telling people we would learn the meaning next year (post season four finale) tells me Charlie's story may not be over.
Don't you just love a mystery? Make of it what you will but I think there is enough evidence to at least put it out there to ponder.

I am not convinced that Charlie will be back, but there are interesting parallels between Charlie's story and other people.  And sounds like he was being pretty suggestive at that sticker hand out thing.

Spoiler Theories and Speculation / What was said about Jacob and Walt

Cuse and Lindelof on Walt, Charlie, Jacob and Flashforwards

Thanks to sgeureka for the heads up.

Producers of ABC's Lost offered SCI FI Wire a few spoilers for the upcoming fourth season and said that more questions will be answered and more flashbacks and flash-forwards likely when the show returns early next year.

Executive producer and co-creator Damon Lindelof said the fourth season will continue "to answer and ask a lot of questions." But, he added, "season four is going to be a whole new show in a lot of ways. We're really excited with what we're doing and hope that it'll offer as many surprises as the finale did."

Among the spoilers Lindelof revealed: "Michael [Harold Perrineau] is coming back. Definitely. As for Walt [Michael's young son, played by Malcolm David Kelley], we've always known Malcolm was going to grow faster than we could shoot the show. And we planned for it. Trust us. Please trust us."

The show's producers have already figured out what they will do with the mysterious character of Jacob, who was introduced at the end of season three. Picking his words carefully, executive producer Carlton Cuse said, "Yes, we do know how Jacob will be depicted. Notice the careful wording of my answer. And no, Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke." Cuse also declined to say whether an actor had been chosen to portray the character.

Flashbacks will continue to explain the backgrounds of some of the characters, but there will also be glimpses into the future, the producers said. (In the season finale, viewers saw what appeared to be a flash-florward to Jack [Matthew Fox] and Kate [Evangeline Lilly] after they had been rescued from the island.)

The producers said that it is inevitable that the time-bending story of Lost will continue to use both looks backward and forward. "It's absolutely inevitable, not to migrate completely away from flashbacks, but at least to find a new paradigm for storytelling that changed up the nature of the show," Cuse said. "Moving forwards, you'll get a mix. Every week will hopefully be a guessing game as to not just WHO will be focused on, but WHEN we're focusing on them. Flash-forwards will be a part of season four, yes."

The reverberations of the death of Charlie Hieronymus Pace, played by Lord of the Rings's Dominic Monaghan, at the end of the last season will inevitably continue at the beginning of season four. "The reverberation of that death echoes right into the premiere of season four," Lindelof said.

Source: SCIFI - Wire

The "Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke" line really stood out to me.  Now I can't get into the producer's heads but it sounds like Jacob was never SEEN until Locke saw him.  But then how does Ben know he was sitting in the chair?  Am I misinterpreting something?

Also the Walt aging issue.  It is very cool that they have a plan- either hire another actor to play young Walt, or we will see older Walt in flashforwards or on the island again?

Spoiler Theories and Speculation / Richard Alpert...revealed?
« on: September 25, 2007, 01:25:35 PM »
Well.  Maybe not 100%.  But Nestor Carbonella did a radio show and shed some light on his Lost character, Richard.

To clear things up, he was asked if he was still going to be on LOST.  He replies no, as far as he knows he's not.  Contractually he can't go back to LOST as a reoccuring or regular character.  He says the writers have a sense of where the show is going but not necessarily all the things that will happen to get there.  He says that only Jack and Kate knew about the season finale and they are very tight lipped about scripts.

Another question was asked about his power struggle with Ben, and what does Nestor feel Richard really is?
Nestor says that he believes he is indigenous to the island and that he has been there for 400 years or so (which would pre-date the Black Rock).  He says he came across a group of people doing experiements and views that they are the ones that sort of took over the island.  Then he states that no, he doesn't age.

Then they went on to talk about Cane.  Of course, this is just how he feels.  If the writers don't tell people about the season finale I'd bet they don't tell them every aspect of their characters either.  So is the 400 year estimate reliable?  Not sure.

Theories & Speculation / Lighters
« on: September 24, 2007, 03:08:47 PM »
I've just been noticing that there are many appearances of lighters on the show.  After researching a little bit, they mostly appear right after or right before a death.  Here are some examples:

Yemi in the tent with Eko while trying to wake him up in "the cost of living"

Kate is playing with a zippo on her porch while wayne comes home "what kate did"

Sawyer hands one to kate to light a fire while complaining about the marshal "tabula rasa"

After Sawyer shoots marshal, tries to light a cigarette but lighter doesn't work "tabula rasa"

Paulo goes to light a cigarette after they kill Zuckerman "Expose"

Any significance?  I don't know.  Lots of times these lighters are Zippos.  There weren't really any clear shots in "Tabula Rasa" just a few flames.  Images from

General Spoiler Talk / Orchid Station Orientation Film
« on: July 28, 2007, 08:00:05 PM »
I'll throw this one in spoilers as to not rouse the masses.  Not sure if they will even show this on Lost, though.

This was shown at Comic Con and apparently found by Damon and Carlton in Norway.

Here is a link to the Orchid Orientation Film:

There are some brief scenes spliced in here.  The first one is of a building, the same one that we saw in the Pearl video, I believe it is Dharma/Hanso headquarters.  The second is "God loves you as He loved Jacob" like we saw in Room 23.  The third shows someone riding a bike through what appears to be othersville.

As far as the bulk of the film goes, it is quite interesting.  Marvin candle has become Edmund Halowax and is holding onto bunny #15.  He talks about the unique island properties and how this particular station assignment is dangerous and unstable.  He mentions the Casimir effect, which with a little help from wikipedia I will make a clumsy explaination.  Apparently this is the force of particles not from gravity or charge and this theory can be applied to stabilize WORMHOLES.  Sounds like time travel to me.  Anyhow, later on in the video, another bunny shows up out of no where, another bunny #15.  Halowax flips out and tells the assistant to keep the two away from each other.  Is this a time traveling bunny?  What if the two bunnies touched, would it be like Timecop all over again?  My oh my.  Well, watch the video, folks.
