New round of castaways aired tonight.

My favorite this time is another local gal, Sydney.  She's incredibly gorgeous!

Sooooo.  All the Others know and speak Latin.  Again, Juliet keeps this info to herself until asked directly.  She has her own agenda.

Correct me if I'm wrong but was this the first time we saw Christian without a suit on?
Casual Wednesday perhaps.

Episode 2x01 / The Swan's Appliances
« on: January 27, 2009, 11:34:13 AM »
We were watching this episode last night and I noticed something I missed during the previous viewings.  All of the "stuff" in the Swan appears to be mid '70s to early '80s.  Record player, lava lamp, blender, etc.  They are setting a theme.
All except 2 items.  The washer and dryer are brand new, current model front loaders sitting on their pedestals.  Having just bought similar ones, these stood out big time.
Just an observation.

This site is pretty cool if you've ever served in any branch of the military.  I'm on the Air Force one, but they have them all.  Well worth looking at if you're a veteran, served & separated, still active, or would like to honor a fallen brother in arms.

TV & Movies / Survivor: Gabon
« on: September 26, 2008, 03:57:02 PM »
The new season began last night.  They're in Gabon, a country in Western Africa this time.

2 survivors already cut loose.  Quite a few nitwits to weed out.

There's another person from where I live on there too.  The 1st one was Candace Woodcock and I can't remember which season she was on.
The new gal from here is Crystal.  She graduated from a local high school and won a gold medal in Greece in '04.  Go hometown connection!

Great show, great theme, great music.

The latest on I saw was Chaos Theory.  It had two LOST connections.  One old, one new.

If you get the television channel G4 via cable or satellite, they are going to have a new show in September.

It sounds like it's going to be a lot like the enhanced versions ABC was airing, but along with the pop up info, they're going to have creator commentaries.  From their site:

Now, there's a different way to get LOST. Introducing LOST in 2.0. You'll see every episode from the very beginning, enhanced with on-screen facts and creator commentaries, bringing you inside TV's most captivating series. Don't miss LOST in 2.0, coming to G4 September 15.

Saw it yesterday finally.  Heard good & bad.

I liked it all!  From the beginning to the end it was great.  Lot's of funny stuff, of course, and great action.

Recommend seeing this one!

I could only find one fault, but it's knitpicky & won't say in case you haven't seen it.

Episode 4x12 / Herky Smile
« on: May 16, 2008, 10:18:51 AM »
When we used to recover aircraft from flight, you could see them from miles away.  At night, they light up the wing tip lights, the landing lights, and the taxi lights.  Those 6 lights formed what we called the Herky Smile.  Anyway, some interesting trivia of note from last night's aircraft.

Coast Guard aircraft C-130, tail number 1717, is based out of Clearwater, FL.  It's an HC 130.  This aircraft has performed many duties and was made famous by the rescue of the sailboat Painkiller in 2000.

This is pretty cool.  I don't know anyone personally that died in Vietnam, but my dad was over there.  It'll give you a bit of their info:

Lance P. Sijan was a pilot that got shot down and captured and has one of the highest Air Force awards named after him.  Use him as an example if you don't know anyone and want to check it out.
