In this pisode of Sledgeweb's Lost Podcast, "The Whole Truth" is reviewed. I also respond to viewer comments on the episode, and discuss Widmore Labs in the Investigations segment. The idea that a time jump between Seasons may occur is also explored. I also field questions from viewers, and briefly discuss what's coming up next on LOST. A bonus segment features a book review from Ryan and Jen from The Transmission.

I agree with jaybob -- Jin is the father of Sun's baby.

I think the writers didn't really leave the paternity question open. It's almost has to be Jin.
Evidence:
1. Why would Sun tell Kate it is "impossible" that she is pregnant? If she and Jae Lee did have sex, she would know it was at least possible she is pregnant.
2. Again, if she had sex with any other man besides Jin, why bother to tell Jin the doctor later switched his story and Jin was the infertile one? That makes things more complicated for Sun because it opens up the possibility of infidelity causing the pregnancy. So then she has to promise she's never been with another man, hope Jin believes her, and then concludes the pregnancy is a miracle.
So if she had been with Jae Lee, it would be a lot simpler for Sun to leave all that out and let Jin believe her endometriosis had "improved" and he had impregnated her. A lot less risk for Sun.
3. She *should* have been having signs of pregnancy (morning sickness, etc) before now if she got pregnant over 2 months ago by Jae Lee. This isn't a bulletproof reason, but it is reasonable.
Bottom Line: Who's your daddy? - Jin

Wow, the podcasts are getting better each time! Sledge & callers, great job!
I also liked the timeline jump theory. Do you, Sledge or anyone, think that the writers for the upcoming seasons should try to entertain the Lost fanatics more than the casual viewer?
Caller Mike from San Fran: Right on, man!! You feel the same way I feel about Jack.
Take care all!!

Ok, so I was typing and still listening to the podcast, and I just got to the time jump theory. I could definitely believe that the writers would do that! If they haven't considered it, they should!

One of your callers commented that our "best theory" about Sun getting pregnant is that the island "made" Jin stop shooting blanks, as the island make Locke walk again. I have to agree that this theory sucks; I believe that Locke's problem was more psychological than physical, thus the change to the island could very well change his mindset and allow him to walk. I DISAGREE that Jin was "cured" by the island. I think it is much much more likely that Sun is pregnant from another person. Whether or not that person is Jae Lee, is still up for debate. Just my 2 cents.

hey sledge, sorry to be a bugger again, but could you please do something about the quality of the podcast... I listened to previous ones on my mp3 player so i probably didn't feel that, but now i'm listening on my laptop with my headphones and the "s" sound does make my ears hurt - it's ok using winamp's full bass preset, but I guess you should probably do something about it. or is it just me? thanks anyways:)

Hey dymo, I'll run a d-esser next time. The s's aren't bad on my end, but they might play out differently on different systems depending on equipment. I create the podcast in a program called Cool Edit Pro. Right now, I run a vocal compressor, equalizer and group normalize on the audio - but I haven't been using the d-esser filter. Will try it next time. Thanks.
