In this pisode of Sledgeweb's Lost Podcast, "One of Them" is reviewed. I also respond to viewer comments on the episode, and discuss the details in this episode that require a closer look in the Investigations segment. Investigations include the Egyptian hieroglyphics, and a connection between Kate and Sayid. I also field questions from viewers, and briefly discuss what's coming up next on LOST.

Instead of rquiring folks call in, could you also take e-mailed questions and comments? I'm sure many people aren't comfortable calling in, whereas we all seem to feel pretty free with posting our ideas.

I love the podcasts. I'm not particularly tech-savy, so I may not call in questions. But I love to download the podcast and burn it to a cd to listen to while I drive to and from work. I'll work on installing the internet phone software you recommend.

I'll try and get a call in. It is difficult, because my family are all following the show at UK pace, so if they heard me talking about Season Two they would be a tad peeved to say the least!
It is a shame that you don't get more callers Sledge, because you clearly get a lot of visitors to your site and no doubt a lot of listeners to the podcast.
Perhaps you could promote the podcast more, especially in the days leading up to the latest one being released. Places like Lost-Forum.com maybe, where there must be a lot of people who would want to call in with their views.
I could promote the podcast a bit, if you like? Perhaps use a Sledgeweb Lost Podcast sig on a few Lost forums, with a little note underneath telling people how to call in.
Anything to help. :)

Episode 3 should be up Monday, the 6th. I could use some more calls for the next episode if anyone wants to call in with comments on "Maternity Leave" or something for the QNA segment. I've only had 3 calls for this next episode.

Another good edition, that's 2/2 that I have given the thumbs up to. :)
Any update as to when Podcast 3 will be available for us to listen to?

I liked the hieroglyphics on the counter in the hatch. I think it fits nicely within the theory that maybe this is all a button-pushing experiment in human psychology. Even if we didn’t know the translation is “cause of death,” just the colors, images, and the sound of something firing up were scary enough to encourage entering the numbers. Also I think it’s interesting that in Season 1, the episode called “Special” in a flashback Walt is complaining about his homework studying Australian birds and wonders why he shouldn’t be studying Egyptian birds instead. I think that’s pretty random reference to not have any meaning.

I have submitted it to Itunes, but it has to go through some sort of approval process - I'm not sure how long it will take, but it should show up on there sooner or later. Of course, you can subscribe to the feed as Brian King suggests.

I figured how to do this manually. First, right click and copy the shortcut from the RSS feed on the podcast page. Then from iTunes, click on Advanced and Subscribe to Podcast. Paste the URL in the box and there you go! Now iTunes will update your library from our favorite site, LOST.CUBIT.NET!! Thanks for all you do, Sledge!!

Looking at your RSS feed, I see that you have tuned it for iTunes. However, I cannot find it on the iTunes music store. Can you submit a link to the iTunes music store so iTunes will automatically download the latest podcasts?

why is it only downloading the first 2 mins. of the podcast?

Good podcast, Sledge. You had a couple of things on your 'cast that I have not heard or seen in other places, i.e. how contrived the space for the hieroglyphics actually is. They (the hieroglyphs) captured my attention at first, but as you have pointed out, they have bothered me more and more ever since. Seems like they are placed more for audience speculation rather than serving a purpose within the world of Lost. Thanks for putting words to my thoughts. :)

Sorry for the delay gettting this online. Let me know what you think of SWLP Episode 2.

The purpose of having the call-ins is to give some more voices to the podcast. If it's just me reading a question from an email, it doesn't really serve that purpose. I think it makes for a better listen to have a variety of voices. BTW, the new podcast is up.
