Trust Issues / Secrets
In "Tabula Rasa," Kate says to Ray, "I've got trust issues."
In "...And Found," Libby says to Michael, "We've got trust issues." (refering to the tail section group getting attacked by OTHERS)
In "Maternity Leave," Eko confronts Jack about The Prisoner, asking to see him "Because you wish to keep this a secret."
In "The Whole Truth," Henry says to Locke, "Wow, you guys have some real trust issues, don't you?"
Much of the violence that results between the subgroups and individuals of 815 survivors stems from misunderstandings that arise from distrust. For example:
Initial fight between Sawyer & Sayid, because Sawyer accuses him of being a terrorist
Torturing of Sawyer for the inhalers he didn't have
Fight between Jin & Michael over the watch
Jin's detainment for the burning of the raft
Raft group thrown in the pit by the tail section group for being Others
Nathan being thrown in the pit by Ana-Lucia
Shannon trying to kill Locke over Boone's death
The killing of Shannon when the two groups met
Major secrets still untold between one of the survivors and the majority (may have confided in one other):
Locke was in a wheelchair until crash
Jack saw his dead father on the island
Kate, Sawyer and Ana-Lucia have murder in their pasts
Kate saw a horse she recognized on the island
Hurley is a multi-millionaire (though in fairness, he did try to tell Charlie but wasn't believed)
Hurley has seen the numbers before
Walt burned the first raft
Sun tried to poison Jin to keep him off the raft
Michael has used the computer for something other than entering the numbers (someone claiming to be Walt)
Shannon and Sayid saw images of Walt before Shannon died
Sawyer is hiding the guns and helped Charlie attack Sun
Location of Sawyer's stash (later discovered by Kate)
The Prisoner's existance (slowly revealed to many)
Hurley is starting to see an imaginary person on the island
Libby was once at SRMI as a patient
Locke saw a map on the blast door
Rose feels like the island cured her of cancer
The Prisoner attacked Ana-Lucia (later revealed)
Michael shot and killed Ana-Lucia and Libby and was leading the four on the list into an ambush (later revealed)
Jack suspected Michael's secret, and had hatched a plan with Sayid
Jack is divorced
Sun had an affair with Jae Lee
Sawyer believes he has a daughter, Clementine
