THE HUNT is a scavenger game hosted on this site. Each week, you will have to use a series of LOST-related clues to find information in the real world and on the internet. By putting the pieces of the puzzle together, you will find the solution to the weekly hunt. The first 10 people to enter a correct answer on this page each week will receive points (10pts for 1st, 9 pts for 2nd, and 8pts for 3rd, etc). Whoever has the most points at the end of the game will receive a Season 1 LOST-DVD set (possibly an autographed set).
RULES (Anyone who breaks these rules will be suspended from THE HUNT):
1) You cannot share information with other contestants
2) You must provide your email address each week when you enter your solution, this email address will be used to track your points (but not given to anyone)
3) You will be tracked by IP
4) You can only use one email address - anyone caught playing with multiple accounts will be banned
5) You can only submit one answer each week
6) Solutions will be posted each week for the previous HUNT. Study the solutions to help you do better on future HUNTS.
INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS:
You are welcome to play, but, you may have to help with the cost of shipping if you win. Also, the DVD format will likely be NTSC. If you require a different format, I will try to accomodate, but there are no guarantees.
PREPARE YOURSELF! To do well in THE HUNT, you'll need to know your LOST facts. The more you know, the better. Use this site, and others as resources. You're best friend in THE HUNT will be the GOOGLE BAR at the top of every page on this site.

WEEK 4 SOLUTION
1) If you put the random letters together in the order they appear, it spells LEMON JUICE. Lemon juice can be used to create invisible writing, this is your first clue. There is actually writing between the random letters, and to see it, you have to click and drag over the letters with your mouse, revealing the puzzle.
2) The first important line in the puzzle is "visit walton's mart". A quick search on WALTON MART should reveal that this is a reference to Sam Walton's WALMART. I suppose you could have actually gone to WALMART, but here you are suppose to visit WALMART.COM
3) "find the flight" - At WALMART.COM, search for the flight number, which is 815. You will have several results form your search, so you need to know which result you are looking for.
4) "where judgement await the heathens" - the key word here is HEATHENS, which is similar to PAGANS. So, the result you are looking for in the Music CD by the band THE PAGANS.
5) "ask lenny about number four" - Not about the number four, but about track four from the previous step. The title to track four is "WHEN I DIE". If you type in "WHEN I DIE" on the Crazy Lenny page, he will tell you about A1VACATIONS. If you google A1VACATIONS, you'll find a travel related website where you can lookup properties by ID.
6) "i visited purgatory once before as you'll see, it's quite nice" - This is a hint that the author of the note, Les, has visited purgatory before... AS YOU'LL SEE. We'll come back to this in a bit.
7) "You need the proper ID search for "Lunar Defense" until you see a familiar name" - If you google LUNAR DEFENSE, one of the top results you'll find will be a game page with my name on it (Sledge). Under my name, and the programmer's name, there is a PROPERTY CODE. This is the code you need for the A1VACATIONS page.
8) Entering the code on the property lookup at A1VACATIONS will bring up a specific lodge page. On that page is a guestbook. Going back to #6, we know that LES has stayed here before, as we'll see. So, we visit the guest book, and sure enough, there is an entry by Leslie Arzt, which indicated the FINAL ANSWER is MY OCCUPATION.
