HUNT #2:
HINT #1: No humor funny stuff, in this one, but look more closely. Careful, don't let your brain rot as you try to unscramble this puzzle.
HINT#2:
You aren't looking for hotels near lax. A+B=C HINT #3: Caesar would cipher, without humor, and rearranging to find the name of a familiar face. But what is he doing in Russia? I don't know.
SOLUTION:
1) Decode the caesar/rot cipher at the bottom of the note. A hint in the image clue tells you in is a 14 letter shift. The decoded text appears to be repeating humor over and over, but if you look closely, there are some extra letters in there.
2) Unscramble these letters to reveal a familiar name: HUME (Desmond Hume). Also note there is a 1 and a 7 present.
3) Checking the flickr account, we see a new image. Looks like a google map image. Text under the image says we should search "in russia". Perhaps we are suppose to search for something in russia on google maps?
4) Using the information we obtained in step 2 and 3, try searching google maps for "HUME 17 in russia"
5) The first result grabs our attention, and clicking it opens a bubble with some text in english and another language. It also contains a line of text that is incomplete.
6) Translating the foreign text to english, we are instructed to submit the missing word in the incomplete line (a quote from a familiar book).
FINAL ANSWER: SICK
BONUS: Highlighting over the text in the google maps bubble, there is a hidden sequence of numbers separeted by dashes.
A clue on the initial image provides a hint that we need to get the cube root of each number for the 4 digit code:
