QUESTION: Boy, oh boy, Jack is a scary man of faith on Lost huh? Locke pulled it of pretty well, but Jack is just hell bent on believing that the reason they are there is to stop the incident. He is willing to give up the woman he loves, more than a few meaningful relationships, and the last three years of his and his friends lives, based on faith alone. He's looking a tad fanatical. I was a re-emerging Jack fan since Lost mid-season five, but it looks like hes back to his stubborn ways again. I feel like Jack is gonna make a big mistake because of his faith, we'll see in the finale of Lost I guess.
How do you guys feel about Jack after this last Lost episode? Did it sway your opinion of him at all?

QUESTION: Has anyone tried to determine what the sounds Smokie makes are?? in the Pilot epi you hear Rose say " There was something awfully familiar about the noises it was making" ( to paraphrase). I've Figured out only one... The clicking of the calculator from John Locke's office in his flashback. I couldnt figure out anymore...

And now with what you're bringing up (PsychedelicRelic), that sort of explains the "scanning" / MRI-like functions we have speculated about Smokey. If Smokey has the ability to shape-shift and change its size at will, couldn't just a single particle possibly accomplish the same "scanning" ability (photographing the images on the retina)? And in doing this, basically go undetected.
It also ties back with what we came up with long ago that Smokey is still functioning as designed (reporting / transmitting the images he acquires) but perhaps something about him is awry and they don't have complete control.... sort of like a Frankenstein's monster."
(the retina images comes from a Tesla theory that memories are shown on the retina and that we could see memories if there were an adequate machine to extract that image)

QUESTION: I have a friend that just went to the last Sci-fi convention in California. She was asking around to see if another Lost convention would take place and the answer she got will shock you. The answer was no ... and speculation was that lost will end on Season 5. This came from some "big wigs" at the sci-fi convention ... has anyone hear anything of the likes ?? It cant go on forever that's for sure !

QUESTION: Hi
First off, I tried to put this under Q&A Sledgeweb Lost...Stuff - but once that page opens, there is no start new topic tab. So, I did my best to get this in the right place!
I know that when the boards are locked it is so that no one can post to that thread anymore - but is there any way to still read them? I would love to go over some of the episode discussions for seasons 1 and 2 but can't seem to open anything that isn't recent. Is there any way to view the boards from the earlier seasons?

QUESTION: In the episode where Rose revealed that she had cancer, did she reveal what kind of cancer that it was? Any chance that it was her x-ray in 3x04?

ANSWER: Actually, Rose never says the word "cancer" in the whole episode (S.O.S.), or any since. It was just infered from the fact that she talks about a terminal illness and the word "remission" (which almost always refers to cancer, but occasionally some chronic autoimmune and infectious diseases).

ANSWER: It's for "locking" thread topics in the forum, so that no one can post to that thread anymore. That option has been turned off for regular users, because there are specific reasons why threads are locked (if they are getting out of hand with personal arguments, inappropriate threads, repeat posts, etc). If you think a thread should be locked, PM one of the moderators.
