Cindy was a flight attendant working on Oceanic Flight 815. She had a short conversation with Jack during the flight, and gave him a few drinks. She was last seen on the plane chasing Charlie through the aisle.
When the raft group run into the rear section survivors, Cindy is amongst them. As the group hikes through the jungle enroute to finding the middle section survivor's camp, Cindy disappears in the confusion. Ana-Lucia and company believe the Others took her.

From the special notes of Bad Twin, Cindy is tied in as the 'real life' love interest of Gary Troup***#, who also gives her a cameo role as a 'fictional' character in the same book. Bad Twin is dedicated to her, and she is noted there as a beautiful Oceanic flight attendant whose last name is Chandler.
