The real Henry is a man who was buried in the grave the Prisoner ("fake Henry") claimed was his wife's grave. He was dug up by Sayid in order to disprove the Prisoner's story, and his body was found with a broken neck. A driver's license revealed that he was a black man from Minnesota. A 20 dollar bill was found in his wallet that had a note written on it: "Jennifer, well you were right. Crossing the Pacific isn't easy. I owe you a beer. I'm hiking to one of the beaches to start a signal fire. If you're reading this I guess I didn't make it. I'm sorry. I love you, Jenny. Always have; always will. Yours, Henry." It appears that this Henry was the original traveler in the hot air balloon.
Sayid believes that the Prisoner knew his wife's name and the information because the real Henry was tortured by him.
