Amira appears with Sami after Sayid enters Le Jardin Croissant Fertile, Sami’s restaurant. She identifies Sayid as her torturer and he is beaten up by the men in the restaurant and placed in the back room. Amira watches as her husband beats Sayid while he denies knowing her but she becomes tearful and tells her husband that is enough for one day.
Later, she enters the room by herself with a cat and tells Sayid a story about seeing the cat being tortured and how she saved it. Amira tells Sayid that he owes her the respect of admitting he is the one who tortured her, which he does explaining that her face has haunted him since he left Iraq.
After Sayid admits what he did, Amira says she will tell her husband she has made a mistake and he is not the one who tortured her. A cat similar to the one she held is seen by Sayid on the island.
