We don't know much about Adam other than before the crash of Flight 815, he was involved in the small but fiery Others' Book Club. Adam strongly disliked the book that Juliet has chosen for them to read, "Carrie", by Stephen King. Adam and Juliet were arguing about the validity of the book when they were interrupted by strong tremors that shook the Others' Community. Once the shaking ended, Adam and the rest of the group went outside where other Others were gathering to see what caused the quake-like shaking. As they look to the sky, The Others see Flight 815 break apart and fall to the island.
