Not as reliable as I thought, but the source of where he got it is...

I think she just struggled - she's a fiesty thing so doubtful she would just sit there and he did ask her to tighten her handcuffs up, you don't have to struggle much for those old style cuffs to cut into your wrists when they're tight.

I also thought the band aids were just from blood tests - maybe to get their dna to put new babies in men, maybe something altogether more simple.
