Episode 4x03 / Re: Why is Ben Sayids Boss off the island?
« on: February 15, 2008, 08:38:44 AM »
My thoughts are that Sayid and "Ben" are protecting the people that were left back on the island.  The woman that Sayid killed is prob in league with Abaddon, and he was asking Hurley if there were people still alive on the island.

Episode 4x02 / Re: Fake Plane is Not 815
« on: February 08, 2008, 01:03:06 PM »
That doesn't make sense Jugdish as one of the BOAT PEOPLE, the pilot of the helicopter, was shown phoning the authorities in reference to that NOT being 815.  If the boaties are part of the cover-up, then why would he work for them?
I haven't worked out my ideas on this one.  This was the Motherload of mind-f's loaded with easter eggs and paradigm shifts.  This is what Lost was missing last season.

I do think it plausible that what we saw (and have been labelling flash-backs) may have been Desmond type experiences occurring to those boaties shown (except Naomi, who died on the island).  So, they were in fack flash realities....the boaties have been projected back into a separate reality similar to the one the original and some time back.  Their memories coincide with their known pasts (like Desmond) except they begin to get perculations of their island memories.  This would explain Faraday crying.

The Naomi flash was clearly a flashback.

Abaddon and Naomi were shown in a big empty white room like Jim Carry and Morgan Freeman in Bruce Almighty.  Abaddon is the gatekeeper of Sheole (or however you spell that).

Mulitple realities, it's the only way to fly

That could explain Eko being raised by his grandmother, and ending dying in both realities due to drugs related issues.

I think they had John ask that question because we are dying to know the answer, so it was kind of a wink to the fans.  Here is your question, but no answer.  haha sucks to be you!  :)

My memory is failing me, were yemmy and eko orphans?

Even if they weren't. Eko turned to drug trading and thugging, I am not sure he would take the time to send his grandmother a picture.  And if it was eko's grandmother, why wouldn't she try to bring them to the U.S.

Episode 4x02 / Re: Hurley and the cabin

I thought both seemed surprised that Hurley knew about the cabin. Both thinking they are very special and here is this 3rd guy that no one thinks much about, beyond that he is a nice guy, and he has seen the cabin.

All 4 boaties have some sort of island reference or association in their flashback, Faraday's being the weakest because he was just very upset about the wreckage.  I find it odd that "fake Oceanic attorney" would miss Charlotte's background ties with Ben and/or dharma and add her to the mission.

Of course, he could be "with Ben" also....

Just a thought on the length of time the bear would have to be there.  Since it appeared to be in desert conditions, it could be more recent than you think.  The blowing sands would quickly eat away at any flesh and those same blowing winds and sand storms could put it a few feet down easily.

If you look at the screen cap of grandma's junkboard/reminder-board, or what have you, you see a pamphlet for photo restoration.  No big deal, right?  We seem to think that those pictures are of Eko, but thats not possible, he grew up in Africa.  If you take another look at the photo restoration ad, on the bottom left, they show 2 pictures, one of a person and one of a background, then a third picture of the 2 combined.  Basically "photoshopping" the person into the background picture.

Is this a clue to the improbable pictures of Eko growing up with this lady?

Episode 4x02 / Miles phone call back to the boat
« on: February 08, 2008, 09:27:53 AM »
Anyone else find this odd?

Miles calls back to the boat and wants to speak to someone, and the female voice says he is unavailable, twice.  From Miles tone on the phone she should be able to infer that it is important.  Combine this with the fact that they know they are on a dangerous mission (flashback with Naomi), they know Naomi is dead (or in danger), and they most likely know the helicopter went down.  And all Miles gets is a "he is unavailable".

What does this tell us?  What could you be doing on a boat that would make you unavailable under the above listed circumstances.

Just a thought, but could the female voice be Ben's contact and the man Miles wanted is unavailable because she disposed of him once everyone else left the ship?
