I would like to see how many people are aware of the Bilderberg Group and their participants.

"The Bilderberg Group or Bilderberg conference is an unofficial annual invitation-only conference of around 130 guests, most of whom are persons of influence in the fields of business, media and politics.

The elite group meets annually at luxury hotels or resorts throughout the world normally in Europe and once every four years in the United States or Canada. It has an office in Leiden, South Holland, Netherlands. The 2007 conference took place from May 31 to June 3 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey."

I thought I would create a thread for all the WONDERFUL newbies!  I know you are here because this is the BEST Lost site on the web.  It is not just the wonderful content made available to us by Sledge and the Mods, but the community itself.  When I first arrived here, I was a little shy around the Oldies (for lack of a better word), but was accepted quickly into the community.  Now that we have grown so much, I offer this thread to the Newbies to show our LOVE to them and get to know them!!

TV & Movies / Burn Notice
« on: July 02, 2007, 03:24:47 PM »
This is a new show on USA.  Here is the synopsis from USA's website:

When spies get fired, they don't get a letter from human resources.

They get BURNED...

The action/spy genre gets a refreshing update with USA Network's newest original series, Burn Notice. Jeffrey Donovan stars as Michael Westen, an international spy who suddenly finds himself blacklisted. Dumped in his hometown of Miami without money or resources, Michael struggles to put his life back together and find out why he's been burned. In the meantime, he uses his unique skills and training to help people in need ... mostly people who can't get help from the police.

Michael is joined by Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) an ex-IRA operative, who also happens to be an ex-girlfriend; and Sam (Bruce Campbell), a washed-out military intelligence contact who's being used by the feds to keep tabs on Michael.

He's also forced to confront the family he went halfway around the world to get away from - particularly his mother, Madeline (Sharon Gless) who couldn't be happier to have her son back in town.

Created and written by Matt Nix, Burn Notice combines the best of the action/thriller elements with surprising humor and an iconic new breed of spy. The series' Commercial-Free Premiere is presented by DirecTV and airs Thursday, June 28 at 10/9C. New episodes will air throughout the summer on Thursdays at 10/9C.

I watched it and thought it was GREAT!  Can't wait to see more.

My bff is getting married and she tried on dresses yesterday.  She has it down to two and simply cannot decide.  Would you gals take a look and tell me which one you like best and why?  There are alternate views of the gown and you can zoom in to see the detail.  I would really, really appreciate your input and it would be a great help to her to here other opinions.

Men, feel free to add your input too, I just figured it was a girlie thing.  ;)

What are 5 things you would like to do in your lifetime?

Thought this would be neat to hear from you all :)
