Episode 3x08 / Re: Charlie in Des's flash(back?) - importance?
« on: February 15, 2007, 02:45:07 PM »
I don't think they would spend a whole episode on a dream...would they???

I think Desmonds time traveling (even if it was only his mind) has something to do with the bigger picture about what's going on.

"Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K!"

The Mama Cass song, swan station microwave beep, and Charlie are all bits of evidence that could mean Desmond's time travel was more so in his mind than in reality.

I disagree, I'm pretty sure his conscious mind was sent back into his past least in one timeline.

Episode 3x08 / Re: Cause correcting?

Anyone interested in this cause correction idea, read "Replay" by Ken Grimwood.

About a guy that dies of a heart attack, returns to his college days and tries to avoid dying...over and over again.

A great read!

I thought Dessie said she was "his conscious"? I have the feeling she was actually the "universe", or at least it was talking through her.

Episode 3x08 / Re: No Matter What I Do, You're Going to Die, Charlie
« on: February 15, 2007, 01:32:25 PM »
This might be sorta obvious, but EVERYONE on the island (and off too) will die "sometime"...right?

Maybe it's not the folks dying that effects the universe, but the things that they would do should they live. So all Charlie has to do is avoid doing something critical!

Spoiler Theories and Speculation / Re: Juliette's Sister is a Man
« on: February 09, 2007, 01:51:43 PM »
i didn't think of that!  hmmm....  but i still wonder why the correlation between a male mouse and a female with cancer, the two are opposites.  how do they relate to each other?  and if she HAS cancer (or HAD) why wouldn't they wait until she was healthy to impregnate her?

A male mouse because a male human would NEVER attempt it (I hope) and a woman without any reproductive organs is basically a man from a pregnancy point of view.

Juliet is obviously doing some secret and/or experimental stuff to her sister on the downlow. Maybe she really doesn't/didn't have too much time left and "getting healthy" is/was a long shot at best.

Episode 3x07 / Re: Can the Others "see" into the future?
« on: February 09, 2007, 11:48:24 AM »
Some things are so simple and obvious and we just over analyze it. They wanted Juliette, she said her ex husband was standing in her way so they kill him. Now the got the woman who is at the cutting edge of ferlization.

Believe what you see! They killed him with a bus.

I know this is probably the answer, but it's just always been my nature to (over) analyze things.

I was the kind of kid that never liked Superman because I couldn't justify his ability to fly. Super strength...from different gravity of his home planet, bulletproof...very dense skin, sun in his solarsystem. All far fetched but at least there are explanations. He can fly...just because? And don't give he this "he's just jumping really far" like my wife thinks. Not good enough for this kid!

Anyway, thats why Lost often gives me a headache, but I love it!

My Wish List of Screencaps:

1. Stills from the slideshow, people & locations. I bet some are familiar.
2. The bus..err..blur!
3. Alexs boat, did she make it?

Episode 3x07 / Re: Premature aging?
« on: February 08, 2007, 02:37:13 PM »
I think what's important is that Juliet could tell (by her expertise in fertility) that the "x-ray/image/scan" showed the characteristics of an aged woman and that the Other doctor expected her to.

Let's not get too crazy and analyze this to death! ;D
