Episode 6x05 / Why does MIB want the people in the Temple?
« on: March 03, 2010, 12:14:42 PM »
It would seem that we are so focused with what the MIB needs with our Losties that we may have overlooked.  It seems that the people in the temple might be a large part of the end game for the MIB.  It seems that the Others were very intent on protecting specific members when they crashed on the Island.  Maybe we haven't put enough stock into what the significance these people have to the plot.

I thought that the point of Jack asking about his scar, was that it looked bigger to him.  Meaning that he wasn't sure when he had his surgery.  Obviously that scar would be bigger from a surgery in your thirties than from a surgery when you are 8.  Either way this is showing some type of shared conscience between the two.

The reason Miles was aware of her being on the island is prob cause her dead parents told him so.  I do however find it interesting that she may be the key to Juliet unlocking the pregnancy problem on the island and as such allowing her to get back to her sister.

Episode 4x13 / Polar Bear Thoughts
« on: May 30, 2008, 11:32:49 AM »
I was thinking it may be possible that after the Dharma purge Ben and the others used the trained polar bears to move the island at least once before.  Could explain the need to move the island after Danielle's boat crashed on the island.  Also would explain why a polar bear was found in the middle of Tunisia.  This would also make sure that everyone on the island could remain.....

Now if we don't believe Ben (and why should we) he could just have been using this chance to get off the island to find Widmore, kill Penny, gather the rest of the Survivors and get back to the island.

Episode 4x04 / Locke's reaction to Ben.... Again
« on: February 22, 2008, 10:40:30 AM »
I found it very interesting that Locke had an almost identical reaction to Ben messing with him while locked in a room as he  did when he was in the Hatch.  I mean the breaking of dishes and general frustration.  Is Locke messing with Ben this time to make him feel in control of the situation or where his actions genuine?

Episode 4x03 / Re: Missile a time warp?

I mean really who the hell decides to set up a beacon attracting a missile to not only themselves, but also there only lifeline off the island... The Chopper!  I really did think that he was going to blow that thing up.

Episode 4x02 / Re: Recruitment of the dropees

Well as I can see how you would see that they wouldn't do it the easy way.  The interesting thing here is the motivation for these people hunting Ben, what is it?

I think that all of these people have a vested interesting in something other then Ben and were "recruited" as such.  If there is no vested interest then there needs to be either a threat or maybe money.  As I see it

The Pilot:  "They" aren't going to allow him to go public so they offer him the chance to go look for survivors where the flight may have crashed.

Charlotte: After recording a "Dharma" discovery they obviously can't let her go public so they offer her the chance to go look for the island where all of the answers would be explained...

Dan:  Maybe he was involved in testing electromagnetical anomalies and felt that the plane disappeared due one in the same area the flight was thought to be lost.

Ghost buster guy:  I was actually thinking that the woman who's house he goes to is related to the "Boss" this is his connection to the team and is lured purely by money.

I do feel the coincidence that we will soon come to realize is that they were all meant to be on the plane and for one reason or another they never got there.

Why i enjoy your enthusiastic conspiracy theory, you think that it may be easier for them to just monitor the calls coming into the Oceanic number, rather then broadcasting to just one man.  Also they may not have been aware that the Pilot was obviously replaced last second.

Episode 3x20 / Ben's Mom
« on: May 10, 2007, 09:53:08 AM »
Anyone else find it a little odd that Ben's Mother seemed to have died from the same problem as the women that get pregnant on the island.  Is it possible that Ben has brought this problem with him?  Or does he have such a link with the island that he is projecting his guilt and in doing so the island is not allowing women to live through pregnancy.  Maybe Ben is the true cancer to the island.

Episode 3x12 / Re: locke...
« on: March 15, 2007, 09:57:21 AM »
First, I agree with the fact that Locke wants to keep the fact that he was paralyzed a secret as Sayid thinks he doesn't want them to get off the island.  In fairness Locke has done some questionable stuff on the island.  One that comes to mind in the first season is when he saw Walt set the raft on fire and never tried to stop him.  Locke feels that he is meant to be on the island and the fear of returning to the mainland and back to his wheelchair has clouded his decisions.

Second, how the hell did he get in the wheelchair in the first place?  Last season I posted that I thought he became paralyzed as a result of the collapsing deck caused by Hurley, I am going to stick with that for now.

Third, what is the connection between Patchey and Locke...  Maybe Locke was also recruited pre-paralyzation for something and was not allowed to come due to his condition.  He might be making the connection that he was originally supposed to be recruited for Dahrma or this other group to go to the island with Patchey.  I think that he may be piecing it together now and that is why he has so much anger towards them.  He has been saying that this is his destiny.

Just some ramblings....

Episode 3x04 / Re: Whose Tumor?

People let us remember that Ben didn't want Jack in that operating room and I don't believe that it was his intention for him to see those X-rays.  Juliet brought him there to try and save Colleen.  I know they like to play tricks with us with the Promos, but not sure how this couldn't be Ben's, or someone very important to Ben.  Also I am still a fan of Locke losing the use of his legs from the deck that Hurley collapsed.
