Season 5 recaps are here.

Season 5 / CastawayCayley's Season 5 Recaps
« on: January 27, 2010, 02:13:46 PM »
So, I wanted to make it a little easier to find my recaps since they have gotten completely buried in the archives, and then when the new season starts I'll make a similar thread in the season 6 board. I'm really not trying to draw any undue attention my way, but, you know, if I'm gonna write 'em, people might as well be able to read 'em, ya know? Some of you may remember that I lost my mom mid-season and that derailed my writing, so unfortunately I only have about 9 epis recapped.

Oh, and because all my threads get buried I will take full advantage of the Mod perqs and sticky this.  ;D Click on the photos or links to pull up the recaps. Thanks!!

LOST Talk / ATTN SLEDGELINGS!! Send me your questions for "Mitch"
« on: May 07, 2009, 06:21:30 PM »
In last night's epi a Dharmite named Mitch came in to give "Mr. Radzinsky" info on Jack, Kate and Hurley. He also brought Kate into the sub.

Here he is on the right:

He is played by Kevin Chapman (link to his IMDb profile, which can sometimes be considered a spoiler source, for those of you who avoid those) He has been in some great movies like Boondock Saints, Mystic River and Ladder 49, and just about all the best TV shows. I will be interviewing him in the next few days. I want to know what you want to know! Leave any questions you have for him here, or send them to me by PM. Get them in quick!

Season 5 / Talking LOST
« on: January 28, 2009, 10:31:56 AM »
We have a new series of articles here, and they're called "Talking LOST." In them, we get special access to chats between the creator of this Lost homeland of ours, Sledgeweb himself, and mega-mod AstroJones. Each week they will hash out the latest episodes, discussing current theories and making the occasional bizarre cultural reference along the way. Not only is it a fun change from the same-old same-old theory article, it's a fascinating look inside the way these two think.

Community Lounge / Virtually Sign My Cast!
« on: June 02, 2008, 05:25:54 PM »
So I got a new cast today and this time it can be written on. Since I am not particularly mobile these days it's not likely I'll be getting anyone here to sign it, but if you post what you would write on my cast if you knew me in the "real world" I'll write it on there myself! Feel free to PM me with something if what you want to say is too, um, personal  :D ;) :D ;) 8)

Tomorrow morning (Friday the 30th) Good Morning America is going to show or talk about the two alternate endings they shot for the finale. Should be interesting...

Community Lounge / The "One-Hit Wonder" Bracket Game
« on: April 03, 2007, 03:10:47 PM »
This is an idea I got from a number of different sources, including CBS Sunday Morning and a talk radio show in my area. Anyway, it works like the brackets from the final 16 teams playing for a championship, not unlike, say NCAA Basketball. I will post 8 pairs of something and you can vote for one out of each pair. I figure I'll give each round 24 hours to get the most votes. After one round of voting there will be 4 pairs, then 2 pairs, and then the remaining entries go head to head for being the best of the bunch. Hopefully we can all keep this going with new and interesting lists. Here's the first batch (I wish I knew how to actually put this in bracket form...)

Best Movie Comedies From 70's and 80's-ish

A. Annie Hall v. Being There
B. Blazing Saddles v. Groundhog Day
C. M*A*S*H .v Animal House
D. Airplane! v. Big
E. Young Frankenstein v. Harold & Maude
F. Odd Couple v. Stripes
G. Fish Called Wanda v. Caddyshack
H. When Harry Met Sally v. Fast Times at Ridgemont High

So for this round of votes you will give me 8 answers. I'll make the next round up from the winners tomorrow. Questions?

Websites / The Comics Curmudgeon
« on: January 09, 2007, 01:41:56 PM »
This is my new favorite non-Lost site. He critiques comic strips. I can't even explain it, you have to see for yourself.

some of my favorite pages:
especially The Lockhorns from 9/20/06

also, I plan on beginning to play the Mark Trail Drinking Game, I don't have the link just yet... but basically, often in the strip, it appears as though animals are talking. You'll see what I mean if you look around the site for all of about 10 minutes. When the animals talk, you drink. I love it.

Websites / Postsecret
« on: July 29, 2006, 06:42:52 PM »

PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard.

New secrets are posted every Sunday. I don't think they're archived, so you can't look back at any from past weeks or to see what you may have missed. This, I feel, is too bad because they tend to be very compelling. But at least you get a whole new batch every sunday.

For the more delicate viewer please be aware that it is considered an art project so there may be occasional nudity and/or adult language. Sometimes the secrets revealed deal with very serious topics. Or they can be very funny. It's eclectic and interesting and thought provoking.
