i loved this episode ...so cool desmond getting  zapped ...i thought he was going to turn into a superhero or something    ...desmond has best centric episode ever ... in  comparison to constant episode this one fell little short maybe because  of too much of   true love ,conscience altering love stuff

the same way he knows what happened to alex or his ship and  the mercenaries ...the ship belw up no one was left to tell him the events that happened on the island ..yet he knows ..and  he knows desmond turned the key maybe  from faraday's  journal ....he must have seen it  so did eloise ....thats why he and eloise manipulated des to go to the island

From the episode "The Man Behind The Curtain", when Ben takes Locke to see Jacob in his cabin for the first time, Ben instructs Locke to turn off his flashlight because "Jacob hates technology as much as you do" (or words to that effect). Locke does as told.

Later, when Locke is thinking Ben's BS'ing him about Jacob being in the chair, he starts to leave. When he does, he hears what he assumes is Jacob say "Help me" in almost a whisper. Locke turns around to see who said that, and turns on his flashlight when he does. Then all hell breaks loose in the cabin with everything shaking and flying around, the place going berserk. Locke runs from the cabin frightened, then views the cabin from the outside, and sees that it is actually sitting calimly just as before.

So: with us now finding out more about Jacob and finding out completely about MIB, I gotta ask: is there anything in either of these two character's stories that would make it seem like they "hate technology" to the point of them making the inside of the cabin go bonkers simply from having a flashlight aimed in their direction?

did think  about this when we first saw jacob visiting losties because for a guy who living for hundred of years  like a hermit on the island  he is pretty updated about the real world ...like how he knows to use that machine to give  the apollo bar to jack ....or the way he dresses and where is he getting money to pay for kate's stolen item ....if he was confined to the island he would be ignorant but .....he is in-sync with real world .....he has to be so that he can  go around in real world to meet his candidates ...so i dont think he would be freaking out just becos of torch light

don't think that smokey killed the remaining survivors of the  plane ....it was probably widmore ....and sawyer does not know how exactly smokey can be stopped/killed .... he was just hoping they will start a fight and he can get off the island with whoever is the winning/surviving  party

thats what i thought too ..stubborn tomato is all alive means that this is going to be survival of the fittest ..only the fittest will survive in the end  after the war ...and locke is dead and island is sunk so don't know how the whole jack-locke scene will work

i just checked this  mysteries of the universe  series , little mystified myself  first off which year is this documentary set in ?  what does he mean eloise hawking doesn't have birth certificate n  since when(year) is she the GM of this church...the degroot guy was he ever on the island ? also is it possible that maybe the ajira team was sent by this or some other investigating journo

in the orientation film DR.Chang says  Do not attempt to use the computer for anything else other than the entering of the code,  it could lead to another incident...if the incident is the nuke going off  how can using the computer for anything else lead to another incident

is anyone else not happy with who jacob turned out to be? this guy who plays the character is just plain ..he looks like he is sick or something , 'm  not too impressed with him ..even in the final scene  he didnt react enough ...it would have been better if the middle aged charles widmore had played the role of jacob ...its not fair to blame the actor playing the role becoz the character has been so hyped and everyone imagined  him to be someone or other but i was a little disappointed ...  and to jacob fans dont crucify me for saying so

this man in black saw face off and he is using that idea to make himself look like locke and thats why he doesnt need locke's body ..he just made himself a look-alike of locke   ..well everyone has a theory so let this also join the club

Episode 5x16 / is the future fixed

when real locke flashes to 2007 wounded , he  is told by richard (inturn told by fake locke) that he has to get everyone back and he has to die .. and so he does it .. he was able to do so becoz fake locke had already returned to the island  ....meaning future events has also already happened ...that is  every moment of past /present/future has already happened in a certain way except we have not gone thru it or have the experience of it ...it also means  fake locke already killed jacob at some point in 2007 ...faraday in constant says something like you cannot change the future ..does it mean future is already written ?? that is whatever will hapeen after jacob is dead will also happen in a certain fixed way becoz it has already happened in a certain future time ...if anyone understand what i am trying to say please reply ...mainly i want to know is future written?or is future fixed ?

the incident was always caused by the losties in 1977 ..its a crazy loop  they detonated a bomb thinking they will erase everything that has happened hence causing the incident but the catch is since thay caused it Dr.chang  had to build the hatch to contain the energy and hence the pc with 108 min entry ,which desmond will one day not enter hence causing the plane crash ...the only chance could be to assume desmond didnt make it to the island and hence not causing the crash ..and all of them wake  up in L.A. saying they all had the same crazy dream which seemed so real ..have'nt see star trek yet but its a possibility that they will flash to 2007 and find themselves with everyone else at the foot of the statue ...i am thinking that maybe if they do succeed in changing some events after the flash maybe it will be partiallly not everything ...becoz it seems jacob picked few canditates to do something important

untill now i thought only ben has met jacob but apparently the richard has also met him but its unlikely that richard is manipulating ben it is other way round , because richard says somthing like only one leader can go and see jacob maybe richard and ben never went together  to meet him if they had , then ben's lie would have been found out ....jacob has kept ignoring ben till now maybe he doesnt like him or trust him ....who is to say ben didnt just do what he wanted and tell everyone that jacob gave him instructions to do so ..what i would like to know is , were widmore or hawking able to see jacob becoz they seem to be the leaders in 77

 but i still think richard is not the bad guy why else would illana bring him locke's body to him and why else would he be the only person to know the password to the question .

really nice story ..there are so many glimpses of religious aspect in lost , but thats is what they are glimpses, the creators want everyone to dig deeper and make a mountain out of anthill ...coming to jacob and other guy are they god ..i dont think so if jacob is god why will he die from a stabbing ..yes i agree both of them seem to have other power and i truly believe if anybody knows everything about the island then its these two guys ...these two also seem to be playing everyone (maybe for selfish motives or greater good) but i just wish lost sticks  to scientific explanation rather than supernatural stuff

why is  ben saying  he is a pisces..wasnt his birthday some where in december ..becoz  ben shoots locke on his birthday or the next day ..and when desmond is on the frieghter it is dec 24 ..so i'm assuming ben shooting locke incident couldnt have been more than 1 week before the chopper arrives ..so ben shld be a sagittarius or maybe he lied

the situation is same as in season 4 when ben and widmore were the nemesis teling everyone that the other person was bad ..untill now i thought they were playing everyone but it turns out that jacob and black shirt are the master players ,playing everyone ...what is interesting is that nobody actually knows everything about the island , ben didnt even know jacob till now

who knows who is good/bad and who has the best interest of the island as sawyer said - a man does what he does because he wants something for himself
