Episode 5x15 / Re: So How Will JugHead be Moved?
« on: May 07, 2009, 04:22:29 PM »
I was wondering why Jughead was just kind of sitting there in the tunnel.  Didn't Faraday say to bury it?  In concrete or something.  It was just laying underground for 30 years and nothing happened?  Kind of weird since there was a hole in it and it was leaking in 1954.  Anyone else have a problem with this?

TV & Movies / Re: what did you see ads?

The ads are for a new series potentially coming to ABC next season called Flash Forward.  It is based on a book by sci-fi author Robert J. Sawyer.  Here's the synopsis for the book (from

What would you do if you got a glimpse of your own personal future and it looked bleak? Try to change things, or accept that the future is unchangeable and make the best of it? In Flashforward, Nobel-hungry physicists conducting an unimaginably high-energy experiment accidentally induce a global consciousness shift. In an instant, everyone on Earth is "flashed forward" 21 years, experiencing several minutes of the future. But while everyone is, literally, out of their minds, their bodies drop unconscious; when the world reawakens, car wrecks, botched surgeries, falls, and other mishaps add up to massive death and destruction.

Slowly, as recovery efforts continue, people realize that during the Flashforward (as it comes to be called) they experienced a vision of the future. The range of visions is astounding--those who would be asleep in the future saw psychedelic dream landscapes, while others saw nothing at all (presumably they'd be dead). But those who saw everyday life 20 years hence have to come to grips with evidence of dreams forsaken (or realized). Soon, the physicists who caused the Flashforward are struggling to help the world decide whether the future is changeable--and whether the experiment is worth repeating. Robert J. Sawyer has captured a truly compelling idea with Flashforward, and he fully explores what such an event might mean to humanity.

Sounds like it would fill the void left by Lost.

Didn't Goodwin also have an Army pocket knife (I believe we see it right before Ana kills him)?  Seems like there were some other Army references too but I can't think of them right now.

I think the knife was found by Ana Lucia in the Dharma station they were camping out in on the other side of the island. (can't rememeber the name of the station)

 ;D lol

When Kate shows up at Cassidy's with Aaron it seems like this isn't the first time they are getting together post-plane crash.  I'm sure in a future episode they will have the WTF moment of Kate and Cassidy's uncomfortable reunion.  ;)

Are you talking about the first time with the envelope full of money?? I totally thought that was the first time they met after the crash.

I agree with you, apparently some do not think that was the first time,

I just watched it again.  I guess I was not paying attention the first time I watched it.  That was their first meeting since Kate came home then.  Weird.  When Cassidy answers the door, she gives Kate with this weird empty stare for like a half-second before she realizes who she is.

I think when Ben attempted to kill Locke and dumped him in the "Death Pit" with the DI, he basically told him he was responsible for their deaths. Not everyone knows Richard so they can't really blame him.  Everyone knows what a psychotic, manipulative psycho Ben is firsthand.  Even in Season 4 when Ben tells Alex to head to the Temple because dangerous people are coming, she says to him "More dangerous than YOU?".  He nods yes.   ;D

I thought, for a moment after he shot young Ben, that Sayid was gonna turn the gun on himself and pull the trigger.  Feeling he served his life's purpose I totally was expecting him to do it.  That would have made this episode really great.  Especially if Ben winds up not dying, which I am pretty sure he won't.

Wasn't "the incident" the reason for the need to push the button every 108 minutes?  The Swan hasn't been built yet so I don't see how it could be tied into young Ben being shot.

Ok, so Ben tell's Sayid he's done.  Sayid runs off to build houses in the DR.  Ben shows up out of the blue and tells him about Hurley being watched and more people that need to be killed.  Sayid tells him to F off.  But then Sayid does return to LA and kills a guy outside Santa Rosa supposedly "watching" Hurley and tells him he is in danger.  He then breaks him out, drags him off to the safe house where he kills another 2 guys, one with the greatest wrestling move ever - body slam 2 stories to a splattery death - and the second with "Death by Dishwasher".

So why did he return to LA and commence with the killings if he thought he was being played by Ben?  My head hurts now.  :(

I think its completely possible... There have been theories on this site about Locke losing the feeling in his legs in season 1 when Boone dies climbing to the beechcraft because he was shot by Ethan in that same spot however many years ago. And dont forget... this IS lost. Anything can happen

That's quite a good point!   I had never thought about that

I thought Locke couldn't climb because he got schrapnel in his leg from a failed attempt at breaking into the hatch.

He didn't have a little cut on his face, but a huge gash.  I guess being on the island without proper medications and bandages to help it heal perfectly would most definitely leave a scar like that.

Sounded like Sara.  Isn't that the name of Jack's ex-wife?  Hmmmm  :-\

You think he made it off Hydra?  I would guess someone found him by the boats all bashed about the head.  Probably Cesar.  They probably just dragged him back to their camp and put him with the rest of the injured.
