Episode 3x05 / Re: Previews for next weeks Lost...

THe ex hatch mate makes sense.  Thanks for reminding me and I'll check out that other thread.

Episode 3x04 / Props to Pulp Fiction Fans...
« on: October 27, 2006, 04:34:12 PM »
All of you out there that know and love the movie Pulp Fiction probably picked up on the reference given to it by the dude with the huge needle in this episode.  He was worried about plunging it into Sawyer's heart and the other guy said to put it in the sternum like in the movie.  I know that Pulp Fiction is from ?1992? or so, but how are these others getting popular/current entertainment if they have been on the island for so long?  These two men with the needle were over the age of 14 so maybe they lived in the "real world" before being brought to the island-if people get brought?  I don't know.  So confusing!!!

Episode 3x04 / Re: Two Islands, Or One Island?
« on: October 27, 2006, 04:28:06 PM »
I'm right there with ya'.  When I watched the last episode and Ben showed Sawyer the second island and said it's his island, I thought yeah right!  I seem to remember in episode 3X01 that the others were on the same island as the losties when they showed the plane blowing up.  I have it recorded, so I'm going to check again and find out for sure.  Good post!

Episode 3x05 / Previews for next weeks Lost...

Did anyone else see the image of a man with a patch over his eye looking into the surveillance camera after the new girl gasps????   Who in the world could that be and in what room is he located???

Episode 2x23 / Re: Incident???
« on: May 28, 2006, 03:50:49 AM »
Anyone with a medical background can probably answer this, but would exposure to a high blast of EM do anything to the human body?  Could that be the reason for the incident and the reason they are releasing some of the EM buildup a little bit at a time?

Episode 2x23 / Re: Where Is Sayid?
« on: May 28, 2006, 03:48:16 AM »
I guess he figured out something was up when he opened that hatch door and there wasn't anything there...

I seriously don't know anything about sailing or even how to really read a map other than longitude and latitude, but I researched and found that compass bearing 325 means N 35 degrees W.  Now where in the world is that?  I know it depends on your point of view and starting point, but where could Michael be heading?  To Hawaii?  That would be funny...  Are there any sailors out there?

Episode 2x23 / Re: Where Is Sayid?

I didn't think Sayid had gotten back on the boat yet.  I had the feeling that they would be left at the campsite until next season because they are waiting for Jack and company.  I don't think Sayid would be the type to just take off after a few minutes.  Also we didn't see him back at the regular campsite later that evening and he surely would hav emade it back by then in the boat.  I think that their placement at the OTHER camp is important to next season-especially because Sun is pregnant.  The OTHERS seem to know everything and there is still the question of when and how she got pregnant(personally think before going to the island).

Episode 2x23 / Re: Dynamite/Blast Doors
« on: May 28, 2006, 03:11:11 AM »
I thought it was strange that as he was telling Locke that the blast doors could withstand the well, blast, there was the flashback to him simulating a lockdown and the doors crunching that metal cart. How is that supposed to prove to us, the viewers that the doors can indeed withstand a blast?  Maybe the flashback was just randomly placed there.  It did prove that they were strong enough to bend metal....

Episode 2x23 / Re: Am I the only one that noticed
« on: May 28, 2006, 03:07:52 AM »
Maybe the pilot was a Widmore/Hanso employee?  That could explain why the plane was close enough to the island to be pulled apart in the first place.

Episode 2x23 / Fenry pushed the button!
« on: May 28, 2006, 03:02:46 AM »
My guess is that Fenry must have entered the code and pushed the button when the blast doors came down on Locke's leg-even though he lied to Locke and told him that he didn't.  Why would he want to make Locke question his faith in the island?  Is that part of the experiment?  This is all about screwing with people's minds?  Dumb post, but I think that question must have been answered from the reaction to not pushing the button in the finale.

The Lost Experience / Re:
« on: May 25, 2006, 03:55:31 PM »
If you go to the Hanso Found. website and click on EMR the Electromagnetism strand, there's a picture of the earth with and x and y coordinate system on it.  When you move the mouse around the x and y numbers change.  Is there a secret to this?  I found the spot where it is 0/0 and zoomed in but nothing showed up.  It is also interesting that the picture of the Earth is from October 62, 9129 or something like that.  Anyone else spend time on this page. I thought it was important given last night's show...

So here are my burning questions:

If Desmond made the plane crash by not pushing the button, what is going to be the consequence of Locke not pushing the button in the finale?  The charge obviously built up more than when Desmond missed it on 9/22/04 (now we know for sure the date they crashed was indeed in 2004!), so should we be looking for another crash?

Also, if the plan crashed because of Desmond's mistake, was it completely by accident? Was if fate? Or was it truly a conspiracy theory and Kelvin planned for Desmond to follow him that day?  More and more the giant conspiracy theory is sounding more ludicrous  to me...

I told my husband about my conspiracy theory idea and it included the idea that Des was led away from the hatch by Kelvin.  I posted the idea in the theories section (along with some others). I think it could be plausible.  I mean come on we're talking about Lost here.  And an island where polar bears and talking birds roam-not to mention strange smoke monster things. ;D

Episode 2x23 / Desmond's Boat Race
« on: May 25, 2006, 03:14:53 PM »
Does anyone else think that the boat race that Desmond went on was a huge set up by Widmore to get Des out of Pen's life for good?  The race was sponsored by Widmore and maybe he knew Desmond would enter in order to win and prove that he is worthy of his daughter.  Again, maybe, Widmore banked on that and sent Libby to meet Des and offer her "dead" husbands boat.

THe question with this line of thinking (and I'm thinking out loud) is how were they sure Desmond's boat would crash on the island?  It was all too convenient that Kelving happened to come onto the beach to take him back to the hatch.  He had to know that Des was coming.  I think this because a plane crashed on the island and Des didn't even know about it.  Thinking I'd notice a plane over a boat crash any day!

Any thoughts?

Episode 2x23 / Re: S.R. = Razinsky?
