Community Lounge / Get Well, Ben Sledge
« on: October 09, 2006, 07:42:16 PM »
This thread is for updates and well-wishes for Sledge's surgery that, last I heard, will be on October 16, 2006.  His sister is giving him a kidney.  To hear the announcement straight from him, go to the podcast page and listen to podcast 11, around 25 minutes in.

I hope everything goes well on the surgery, Sledge!  Our prayers will be with you and your sister!

TV & Movies / Harry Potter Fan Rollcall and Discussion
« on: October 05, 2006, 10:36:31 PM »
Here!

Well, I thought that since we recently discovered that there are Harry Potter fans on this site, I should create a thread for it.  It will probably be used a little bit more when the next movie or book comes out, but I figure that we can have updates going on in here if people so desire.

By the way, I liked Year 6 a lot.

Episode 3x01 / "Karl", the Caged Boy Came From...
« on: October 05, 2006, 04:12:22 AM »
I haven't read everyone's comments yet on the site, but I wanted to discuss the caged boy.  My personal thoughts were that perhaps he was one of the tailies that was taken?  Thoughts?

Theories & Speculation / Backgammon
« on: September 28, 2006, 01:44:22 AM »
I wonder if the writers included Backgammon as a game because it's going to be sort of representative of the entire show.  You know?  Like, when Locke is sort of explaining it to Walt, it sort of struck me as a possible tie-in with the entire plot of the show.

Thoughts?

TV & Movies / Game Shows
« on: September 20, 2006, 10:29:43 PM »
For some reason, I am a huge fan of game shows.  Growing up, I really liked to watch The Price Is Right.  Currently, I like to watch Jeopardy! and feel happy when I know the answer to the question.

Does anyone else really like game shows?

THE HUNT / HUNT 2-13
« on: September 20, 2006, 02:53:37 PM »
Yay!  A new HUNT!  While I'm deciding what bogus answer to enter for HUNT 2-12, I thought I'd start this new thread in preparation for tonight!

THE HUNT / HUNT 2-11

Dear Sledge,

Please let this HUNT be something that will be tricky, but still in a way that I will be able to figure out.

Sincerely,

THE HUNT / HUNT 2-10

Another Wednesday = another opportunity to have a HUNT where I can figure out what to do about it.  Maybe my brain will be able to handle the one today.

THE HUNT / HUNT 2-9
« on: August 23, 2006, 04:24:07 PM »
I'm hoping that I have more time this time to work on the clue.  It had better not be figured out in the first few hours!

THE HUNT / HUNT 2-8
« on: August 16, 2006, 02:13:08 PM »
Starting this thread because I had no clue about HUNT 2-7 and I'm happy to have another chance at figuring one out.

LOST Talk / Ask the Cast Questions
« on: August 09, 2006, 08:18:00 PM »
I found this blurb online where you can submit questions to possibly be asked to the cast of LOST.

THE HUNT / HUNT 2-7

Hooray! Today is a new HUNT!  The question is: are you more excited to find out the answer to the last one or to get a new HUNT?

TV & Movies / Miscellaneous Movie Commentary
« on: July 22, 2006, 11:49:39 PM »
There are a lot of movies out there, and I was thinking that probably I wouldn't want to start a topic for each one, so I think this should be for whatever movie you want to discuss but perhaps does not warrant its own thread.

I saw The Devil Wears Prada.  I thought it was pretty good.  It made me so thankful for my job.  However, I walked out of the theater feeling rather unattractive and a little fat.  What did you think?

Who is ready for a new puzzle?  I am!

I'm tired of Searching the four corners.
