I do too.  I thought that for a while.  It's funny because my brother actually guessed it accidentally because he was mixing characters names up and then it clicked in my head.  I'd be surprised if he WASN'T the real Sawyer.

I like seeing people proved wrong.  Anyways, I thought tonight's episode was probably the best one ever.  It's at least in the top 3.  It was like hitting the apex of the show's mysteries and now the pieces are going to start coming together.

The problem with that theory, though is why would they observe them for that long and manipulate all of those events in their lives to get them to crash on that island.  It would be impossibly expensive and completely impractical.  They could've just kidnapped them and taken them to the island instead of forcing the plane to crash.  Before this season, you could've argued the crash was faked, but in the season premiere, you see the Others going about their day, looking up at the sky and seeing the plane about to crash.

I considered that possibility, but I really don't see how it could be noble.  Ethan murdered people, Carl was getting brainwashed, Locke, Desmond, and Ecko were almost killed because of Ben's manipulation.  Juliet doesn't seem to like her own people.  They kidnapped Danielle's daughter.  If the smoke monster is under their control, then the people it has killed can be blamed on them.  They kidnapped Walt and left Michael, Jin, and Sawyer to drown in the ocean.  They made Michael murder Libby and Ana Lucia.  I could go on and on.  There's no way all of that was necessary and unavoidable for some greater good.  Even if the writers do use that angle in the end, it will be hard to swallow so at this point I hope they don't.

Locke doesn't want us to think he's innocent because he doesn't know we're watching and that's it's just a tv show.  And I don't think anyone else knew about the computer or 77.  I think he entered the code in too knowing what the result would be.  Last week, I thought he was just a complete moron.  He's still a moron, though, but for different reasons.

Yeah, Locke used to be my favorite character.  Now he's just an idiot.  I would've slapped the **** out of him if I was Sayid.  He's seriously retarded or something.  I can't comprehend what must've been going through his head to stop guarding that Russian guy to play chess.  Even then, just glance at him every couple seconds at least if you're that much of a computerholic.  I can kind of see how he wouldn't have known the place was wired with C4, but even then the message didn't sound like candy would rain down.  It's like when an officer tells a guard NOT to push the red button no matter what, and they end up pushing it.  I hate people like that.  Like dealing with chimps.

I still think there's a second group of Others, or at least I'm hoping there is.  And the producers have pretty much said that it's reasonable to assume that there's a second group of Others, so they haven't dismissed that theory and they're not afraid to tell us when we're wrong.  They just don't always tell us when we're right.

Don't forget they conspired to have Michael murder his own people and lie about it and they used his son to manipulate him.  It will be a mistake if the show tries to make the Others look sympathetic.  There better at least be a second group of evil Others who are more mysterious than a group living in a suburban community on an island so that I can at least look forward to at least some interesting explanations for all of the creepy phenomenon that happens on the island.

Kate annoyed me this episode.  She acted completely retarded.  But I thought it was stupid how Sawyer just let Karl go.  Another character with important information who conveniently leaves so he can appear again later in the year to finally reveal some answers.  I hope he dies going back after Alex.

The whole season, the Others have been trying to gain Jack's confidence and trying to get him to trust Juliet.  Maybe this whole sequence of events and the trial was an elaborate hoax so that he'd trust her.  Or not... I give up speculating with this show.

The thing I noticed was how crappy Juliet looked while giving Jack his sandwich.  Looked like she was sick or something, or maybe it was just from the pain of getting marked or the stress of the situation.
