A better question would be how will he respond to Locke for betraying him and taking away his one chance off the island.  Of course the deal is voided with Ben unless he expects him to have another sub lying around.  Technically, Ben didn't go back on his word and it wasn't his fault Locke blew up the sub.

I say Karen too.  I could be wrong.  I don't think it's Juliet though.  That just wouldn't make any sense.  And I don't have anyone better to suggest, so I'd put my money on Karen DeGroot.

Okay, after reading more posts I have to also say this about Christian being alive:

They would have already done an autopsy on Christian's body so even if he did look dead but was not really dead, he's dead now because they've cut him open to determine the cause of death.  Unless you don't think they'd do an autopsy on the mysterious death of a foreigner who is an upper class U.S. citizen.  Or they would have at least cut into his body, and seen that he was bleeding.  So he's dead, unless you want to believe he has a clone or a twin or that the coroner was an accomplice.

Do you think Jack could view his dad's body and not notice he was alive? He is a Doctor for crying out loud! Jack should be able to id a dead body, especially his Dad's dead body.

We've beat this dead horse for about a while. I agree with your statement, but a doctor said that the girl drowned and was dead. Eko went to investigate the miracle. He felt there was no miracle that the doctor was mistaken. If Locke can be healed, maybe a newly dead Christian can be healed. Who knows.

If there really is a magic box, we don't know the limits of it. I think that Ben never tells the whole truth. I don't trust him. Magic box or Magic Submarine that can grab Locke's father?

Then no one on the island would die... and everyone who have already died on the island would be alive.

I don't think the line about the wallet means anything except maybe to uncover how his dad really died in a later episode or it could've just been a throwaway line just to show Jack's distress.  He's a big part in flashbacks but so are a lot of characters.  For him to be alive and the mastermind behind the whole thing and fake his own death would be a jump the shark moment.

They don't need to show him young in a flashback.  All they need is to show someone referring to him as Sawyer or seeing him use the name Sawyer.  Or maybe the new Sawyer will recognize the original.

I find it hard to speculate on anything anymore.  It still isn't definite that the smoke monster was all of those other images, or just some or just Yemi or even none.  I'm assuming that's really his dad since Ben told Tom to get him and Ben anticipated Locke's reaction and involvement in seeing his dad there.  Ben knew it was something he had to show Locke.  Or you could argue Ben really didn't see the dad there but could calculate that Locke would see him there and that it's some sort of mystery of the island that you see what you want to see.  Or maybe it is the smoke monster.  I suspect it's not really the dad and it's just a manifestation of the island and it will tie into explaining why everyone else has been seeing things from their past.

He blew it up.   You don't just casually move a sub like you're hiding a christmas present.  And it was right there on the dock behind them too.  I don't even know why I'm debating it...

Wouldn't he have foreseen he'd have a tumor on his spine and get it taken care of or at least make sure his surgeon, Ethan, didn't die like he would've foreseen?
