Episode 6x14 / Candidate Sawyer and Candidate Sheppard
« on: May 12, 2010, 11:00:04 AM »
I hadn't seen this anywhere here, but it seems to me that Sawyer is the candidate to replace MIB (wants to leave the island) and Sheppard is the candidate to replace Jacob (wants to stay).

Trash at will.

Episode 6x01 / Re: What was the signficance of the "dirty water?"
« on: February 08, 2010, 10:23:51 PM »
Jacob is the only one who knows how to change the water filter and he's dead.  Which reminds me...if I die can someone come over and change the water filter at my house.  Lacking a better explanation, I'm going with it...JK :)

Episode 5x09 / Re: Juliet and Ninja Claire

I'm thinking the reason why Ben and Sun are not with the rest is because they are already there (1977).  We know Ben is in 1977 when he gives an un-condimented sandwich to Saiyid.  I bet Sun is there too as a very young child.  Too young to remember it.

can we get a screen cap?

Episode 5x02 / Re: Military uniforms in the past

My thought was WWII and they were austrailian, had captured the island, and had something to do with the transmission of the numbers that Hurley was traveling to Austraila in the 1st place.  To see the guy who heard the numbers and went crazy.  Did that make sense?  Sorry I dont know the characters names like the rest of you and the index section is not working.

Episode 4x13 / Re: The moving Island
« on: June 01, 2008, 12:35:33 AM »
So why would the island have to had moved during the Black Rock's time period?  What woul the threat have been?  Can we link Yemi's flight to the blast door map and get some sort of timeline?  Or is it all moot because of the time travel theories?

Episode 4x13 / The moving Island

Sorry if this is in another thread, but I didn't see it.

Seems to me that the island moving from one point to another explains, the Black Rock, Yemi's plane, and maybe the 4 toed statue.

The island just popped up and the Black Rock, Yemi's plane and maybe the statue were all in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Bash away.

Episode 4x08 / Re: Is Alex pregnant?
« on: March 21, 2008, 06:58:02 PM »
If the kids know what happens to pregnant women on the island, and I assume they have to, then why would they risk it.  Have BGT (big gay Tom) pick up a box of Widmore Ribbed on his way back to the island.  Or drop a box of Dharma rubbers with the corn flakes and boxed wine.  I mean Goodwin could have planted his seed in Juliet without protection so there's got to be something there like a machine in the men's room at the recreation facility where you put 50 cents in.

Episode 4x07 / Re: Noise on the freighter?

I would guess that Des would know morse too....

Wel the 2nd flight make sense.  That is the one at the bottom of the trench.  Oh well....guess we'll have to wait another 44 episodes.

Thanks for taking the time DMM.  You can find more by clicking on the flight numbers.  I think one of them mentions another plane crash.  The plane was empty and flying from SYD to LAX when it crashed with 4 crew.  I'm at work and can't do the research now.

and I think alvar hanso is in the cabin...

Actually, if you go to the link mentioned above,  and slide your cursor over the X's, there are a multitude of URL's to visit, with other URL's inside of those.  If I weren't at work I could play all day.  Tell me what you find!

This is a fascinating part of the web site.  For example, there's a myspace account for John Lantham Jr.  It will take someone a long time to click everywhere and post.  I think there's some good info out there if its reliable.  Is this the site from the alternate reality game earlier in the year?

Official Polls / Re: Episode 4x01 Rating

Rated a 9.  Would have been a 10 if there had been just one more sentence at the end....

Episode 3x22 / Re: Who was in the coffin?
« on: May 24, 2007, 09:50:09 PM »
My guess is Locke. A lot of you have already heard why, but for those of you not in the "loop" (and believe me, unless you want 50 messages in an hour, you don't want to be there) here it is

Jack said he was neither friend nor family. This narrows it down to the men on the island that he wouldn't consider a friend or family, and which haven't died yet.

This consists of Ben, Locke, Sawyer, and possibly Sayid, although I think Jack would consider Sayid a friend.

Kate was keeping someone waiting when she met Jack. That means she was living with someone. Since she only said "him" instead of a name, I'm assuming that Jack knows who he is. That means he is from the island. Kate has had relationships wiht Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, and Charlie, with the most prominent one being Sawyer. If Kate was with Sawyer, then Sawyer is not in the coffin.

No one showed up to the funeral. That means the person had no family or friends. If this is a person from the island, then the majority of people would at least have one person there who knew them. Sawyer had Kate and his daughter (if he ever finds her). Sayid has Nadia. Ben has no one, and Locke has no one. Most people will probably think of Locke as a traitor.

I doubt that Jack allows Ben to leave the island.

This narrows it down to Locke, or someone we haven't met yet. I feel confident that it is Locke.

Makes the most sense.  I voted this way.
