Wow, I was totally off in a different line of thinking.  I thought they were somehow Widmore's people..before Dharma...My reasoning for that was Widmore said he had the island before Ben.  And they were definitely British.

I concur. That would be a reasonable explanation that also relates directly to Widmore's statement to Ben that HE owns the Island. Didn't the soldiers say the same thing? "What are you doing on OUR island?"

Hasn't every character in the series referred to the island as "theirs" at one point or another.

stephanie was my second pick. first episode i picked andrew staphanie richard and dale as the  final four.

lisa put out some strong dishes but her personality is way to abrasive to command respect in a professional kitchen.

im happy with the result.

Why do they have to use such foul language?  It gets old.

you dont know many chefs do you. ;)
Actually, I don't know any chefs at all.  Do they really talk like that?

I hate to generalize but Ive never worked with anyone in a kitchen that has a "PG-13" vocabulary.
prep cooks, line cooks, chefs, and to a lesser extent managers and waitstaff all have pretty rough tongues.

it mostly due to the demands of working in a professional kitchen. long hours, hot, noisy working environment. And annoying questions and requests like "the lady at table 15 ordered her steak medium (even though this is a perfect medium) she would like it brought up a temp"

"F*** the lady at table 15!"

P.S. Rocco is a door knob

You saw it and it was terrible?  Or you think it's terrible and you're not going to see it?

saw it and it was terrible.  And yes I'm a fan of the original trilogy.

ill spare all of you guys a long drawn out criticism. but the reasons i disliked this movie are as follows.

too closely shot. everything was in an office, tent, or cave. even the outdoor shots fell claustrophobic.

Way over the top. and don't get into a huge huff.-Yes i  know that all Indiana Jones movies have been over the top-. this was just overkill.

Third and foremost, everyone say it with me now, TOO MUCH CGI....

thanks George Lucas...

also i kind of felt wired once we found out what the crystal skulls really were. the climax doesn't even deserve mentioning.

spatula is my favorite word!

I can understand that.  It was very claustrophobic.  But it did show us the inner-workings of the Others.  We deserved that reveal after having them lurk around for the first two seasons.
ok i get that... but look at the first six episode of season 3 VS. the first 3 episodes of seasons 1,2, and 4. the thing that really irks me, is; we had six hours in the lost universe, and we basically got two hours worth of story line.

im not blaming it on a bear cage. but thats what i was watching when i could have been watching sooo sooo much more.

but, let it be known that in my opinion, the jack-kate-saweyer love triangle  is the most un interesting thing that has ever happened to this show-- id rather watch nikki and paulo for an hour-seriosly.

and since we are currently in a "post writers srike-and-trying-to-cram-a-ton-of-info into-only-a-few-episodes" it makes 3X01 to 3X06 look even more silly.

She broke my heart and made me cheer in 4x12.  My tribute to full throttle Kate.

I wish I could suck on her finger LOL

Lou's wishing he were Aaron?!  ??? ;)
no...just sucking her fingers LOL

Gotta have a montage!!!

Episode 4x12 / Re: Sun's plan for Paik Industries
« on: May 18, 2008, 06:16:30 AM »
So iv'e been reading around abit, and I'm thinking this...

Two possible scenarios- Jin dead. Jin alive. I know I know, super hotly contested. I am on the fence (i do however have two legs on the same side and I'm ready to jump).

Jin is dead: Sun concentrates the power of Paik Industries to take down the Widmore Corporation thus holding Chucky Widmore responsible. ---Sun totally kicking ass!

Jin is alive: Sun organises the full financial resources of Paik Industries to find her way back onto the island(wherever that may be after 'the move')to reunite with Jin. ---Happy family renuion!

I personally hope Jin is alive but i think that my "Jin is dead scenario" would be way cooler to watch.

Totally torn.

i didnt like that we spent as much time as we did in those bear cages. 1 or 2 episodes fine but its was like 4 of the first six episodes of the third season then a hiatus
