2. Richard was warning them that the CGI shots of FLocke turning into Smokey weren't done yet, and will be finished on Series finale night.
LOL.  Zing!

I must be missing something, I don't get it. (Original post and it being a "zing")

Which will make me look stupid if it is in fact a "zing"

2.  I don't think this is the case here because Smokie has killed non-threatening people before (the 815 pilot, for one) but it made me think of the 'predator' movies where the alien would only attack an armed enemy because otherwise it wouldn't be 'sportsmanlike', and that made me laugh, so thank you!

I think that the smoke can't kill potential candidates. That being said, MiB on the beach states to Jacob that bringing people to the island is pointless because all they do is fight. He doesn't kill in his human form. He lost his humanity by holding this evil that he doesn't want.

1. Did anyone notice the guy who bought Richard back in the 1800s was named Widfield? I think that was his name. Any possible relation to Widmore? I know that last names over time can be changed slightly.

2. What if MiB can't control becoming the smoke monster? A few things make me think this. One is that Richard tells them not to shoot at him. That implies that he might transform into the smoke when threatened automatically maybe. Another is that he keeps saying he used to be a man, and that he has lost his humanity. He wants to go home. Maybe the evil was put in him without his consent. Which is why he doesn't come off as such a bad guy all the time, and people keep holding out for him to be the "good" one of the two (him and Jacob.)

If that is so, he would have turned automatically in to Smokey, when Sayid put the dagger in his chest...

Well, not if he knew he couldn't die from it. Jacob, MiB and Dogan have all referenced "if he speaks, it's already too late." Flocke spoke to Sayid before he stabbed him. Therefore, no threat.

I am saying that if there is a REAL threat to Flocke/MiB, then he turns into the smoke monster. MiB, along with Jacob and Richard, don't age. Richard can't kill himself or die, neither can MiB apparently. A stab wound wouldn't kill him and he knew that, therefore didn't transform.

Plus, Sayid was infected when he did it. So, either under MiB's influence or MiB wants him to do something so doesn't go smoke monster on him (which is what happened.)

We could asume Lockes dad still pushed him out the window, although we dont know what changed, except that Helen is still with him...so maybe she didnt get mad at Locke stalking his dad and it wasnt his dad pushing him out the window...yeah, who knows...except its becoming more obvioius you cant change certain things...

Locke had a pic of him and Cooper in his cubicle

Screenshot? Like to see that. Dont think you are wrong, thats cool if its true

In a podcast they once alluded to fathers/dads being important in all this. So maybe all the names were about the survivors dads?

Just a thought, nothing to back it up with.

Plus, remember he dragged Locke into the ground. Maybe that wasnt killing him, but it could have been his attempt to.

Why is he talking in third person? He was saying that you can not kill Sawyer. MIB can not kill any candidates

Maybe. Depends on whos names are on the wall. If the guy from heroes (the pilot in the pilot) was a candidate, he can. Or anyone else he has killed.

My gf passes out when we watch LOST sometimes, and I always download it. Gotta remember to watch it on tv with the little vh1 bubbles that tell stuff. Even if they are there for the rubes, once in a while they tell you good sh**. At worst, they are reminders.

Its not cocaine, what we are seeing is the invention of BLACK ROCK cocaine.

Smoke monster = America's crack addiction

Just realized how sarcastic I sounded. but thanks for answering me anyways. Makes sense a bit more.

If anything, LOST does check my ego. There will always be someone who knows more than me (and most of the time I DONT think its the writers :P)
