Episode 6x13 / Re: Desmond is the ONE
« on: May 05, 2010, 04:02:31 PM »
I would say that Jack will inherit the "Jacob" role.  If only because it would make sense to the storyline of the show of Jack and Locke always being at odds with each other.

Desmond seems more like a Richard Alpert or a matthew abbadon, just getting people where they need to BE!

I think the island has some sort of craft buried inside it and Locke just needs to Kill whoever is trying to prevent him from reaching it so he can fly back to his planet.

Last season kAte and Sawyer were captured by the hostiles/others trying to bring Ben to Richard.  Again, he pops out of the jungle like "You are looking for me"? and I believe Sawyer also askes where he came from.  Just find it interesting that he suddenly appears all the time.

In season 3 little Ben is looking for his Mom and boom...Alpert again suddenly appears to him.  Just a little fishy to me.

a Smoke Monster?

Over the series, Richard would just appear out of nowhere.   Perhaps he can also take smoke form and travel throughout the island using the cerberus vents.

On this week's episode Richard once again appears out of nowhere and Jack asks him "where did you just come from" to which Richard replies something to the effect of "If i told you, you wouldn't believe me".

My guess, although a little crazy sounding, is that the island somehow chooses.....

I agree, but the island is a fickle bitch (to quote Ben).
I think it's obvious that Jack is the obvious choice.... but this is Lost... That doesn't mean he will be.

I think Ben's quote was "Destiny is a fickle bitch"

Why would jacob say they're coming to Unlocke if he ws talking about him?   He meant his pieces are coming "Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Jin, Hurley and Sayid"

The Ajira folks and the rest of the others didnt flash with Jack, Kate etc. because they never flashed through time to begin with.   When the flashes started it was Jin, Sawyer, Juliet, Locke, Miles who flashed.  The rest of the island's inhabitants did not move through time.   When flight 316 arrived on the island Kate, Jack and Hurley flashed to 1977 while Sun, Ben and the rest were in the present.   Hence they would not have flashed because they were where they belonged "in time" to begin with.

Because Locke was willing to Die for the good of the Island.  He was "amenable to coercion".  He believed it was his destiny to protect the island even if it meant dying to do so.

Episode 6x01 / Re: Hurley

Hurley saw/spoke to dead people long before Jacob "touched" him.  Jacob only touched him a day before Hurley got on flight 316.  Before that hurley spoke with dead : Ana, Charlie, played chess with dead Mr. eko.  Had conversations with Dave who may or may not be Libby's DEAD husband.  Plus he saw whoever was in the Cabin before they left the island in season 4.

Episode 5x05 / Re: Has Jin changed the past?

Rewatching season one.  In the episode "Solitary" Rousseau captures Sayid and begins to tell him what happened to her and her team.  She tells him that they were on their way back from the Black Rock (not on the way to the radio tower) when the rest of her team got sick.  Is this something we haven't been shown yet?  Seems like they were just getting to the the island when they saw Jin floating in the water.  They pulled him onto their raft and when they got to the beach they were determined to find the radio tower.  On the way there, thats when Smokie attacked.

She also told Sayid that something happened after her and her team were there for 2 months...timeline sounds off.

partial transcript from Lostpedia:

DANIELLE: Our vessel was 3 days out of Tahiti when our instruments malfunctioned. It was night, a storm, the sounds. The ship slammed into rocks, ran aground, the hull breached beyond repair. So, we made camp, dug out this temporary shelter. Temporary. Nearly 2 months we survived here, 2 months before --

SAYID: Your distress signal? The message I heard, you said, "It killed them all."

DANIELLE: We were coming back from the Black Rock. It was them. They were the carriers.

Did the bomb go off?  If it did, didn't it always go off?

But you can't change the past.  The universe will course correct.  Whatever happened, happened.  Did season Six start yet?  I need answers.

Episode 5x16 / Re: Was Juliet Pregnant?
« on: May 19, 2009, 05:00:41 PM »
If Juliet was pregnant and somehow survives, it would be all sorts of cool if her baby is Desmond.  Seeing as how she was exposed to whatever happened down there, it might explain why the island needed to be Desmond in the hatch in 2004 to turn the failsafe key and ensure the Island doesn't explode.

Faraday told Desmond he is uniquely special.. How does he know this?

Now if I could come up with a theory how Desmond became Scottish I wil get back to you.  :-\
