Yeah, that Sharks win was pretty epic.  When you add in how the Sharks have played in the playoffs, played against Detroit this year, and played in the Joe Luis arena, then that win was big.  I jumped up so high after that goal that I think my head hit the ceiling.

I have to admit that I am pulling for Vancouver in that series right now.  Why?  Because the Sharks have always had their number.  So if the Sharks get past Detroit then those are the guys I would rather see.  I still have nightmare of that game where the Hawks scored 3 short handed goals against the Sharks in one game.  2 in the same penalty!

Episode 6x12 / Re: Christian
« on: April 23, 2010, 02:49:45 PM »
To me it doesn't add up that Flocke was also Christian.  If he had told Jack that he didn't take on Christian's image, then Jack would want to stay and seek out answers to that.  However, the best play for MIB was to lie and try to convince Jack that there was nothing left on the island for him.  MIB lied to Richard, why does everyone take is word as truth now?  Just saying

MIB is full of it.  MIB wants nothing more than to strip Jack of his new found faith.  If he can do that he can get Jack on his side.  Telling Jack that he was his dad all along is just another manipulative lie to get people to go with him.  I donít buy it.  MIB was not Christian.

I think you guys are misinterpreting what Jack is doing. Are you thinking that Jack wants to leave the island?? Because he doesn't. That's why he jumped off of "Sawyer's" boat. He specifically says that leaving the island feels wrong, and Sawyer (who most deffinitely is planning on leaving the island) tells Jack that if Jack isn't with them, then he needs to get off the boat, and Jacks jumps off. Just because he ends up at the beach, and Locke is there and says that Jack is with him, doesn't mean he is.
No no no.  I'm not saying Jack wants to leave at all.  I'm saying that MIB will say anything to get Jack on his side.  In order to do that he needs to get rid of Jack's new found faith.  If he can convince Jack that there was nothing special about him seeing his dead dad, then that can lead to Jack loosing his faith.  However, Jack's faith is obviously stronger than MIB thought, because he did not believe MIB.  Go Jack.

Tony is there is one couple I truly want to see happy ever after is them I mean it I love their passion for each other.  So we can only hope

I actually could do without Sun. I get their Love for one another and all, but I have never really liked Sun. Particularly the last couple of seasons version of her.
Agreed.  I just hope Rose and Bernard end up happy....like they all ready are.

Jacob already pointed out in the Richard episode that he does not have god like powers

I agree with Bob it is a saying
I wouldn't say he lacks god like powers at all.  He mysteriously brings people to the island, travels in time, doesn't age, grants other peopls that ability.  I know he can't absolve sins or keep people form going to hell.  That is only something Richard could do himself.
A gift from the island and it is only temporary for gods do not die! In my minds eye.
A gift or not, they are god like powers.  And I didn't say he can't die, I said he doesn't age.

I see your point.  But how do we know that death was a bad thing?  What if she did do what she was intended to do and the island now let her die and move on to some place better?  Maybe Jacob now needs her to be dead, so she can see something in her afterlife that she needs to share with Hurley.  After all, we know there is some kind of afterlife.  What if Jacob needs to her to experience the afterlife?  I'm not saying this is totally my theory, but letís not jump to conclusions.

The problem is that Michael stated that they are not even free dead. They don't move to a better place,
but still have to stay on that island and weren't free to move on. That are the whispers.
So move on to a better place?
Right.  Michael did not move on because of what he did.  Maybe she did.

I would say that it has something to do with what happens to people when they are dead in one universe and alive in the other.  Like Libby, Charlie, and Faraday.  All of them were much quicker to realize the truth about there being another life for them somewhere.  Maybe Des is trying to kill Locke in the sideways to give the other Locke (MIB) some kind of realization.  I understand that the ďrealĒ Locke is dead already, but maybe some of Locke carries over to MIB when he takes his body.  I know that I havenít totally thought this out before posting, but it is just what is swimming around in my head.

BiS2, no need to apologize for these thoughts. I like when you come out with these. You tend to put more thought into these ones that are "just swimming" in your head, than I do in the ones that I sit here and think about. LOL
and then I go and remove it  :) becasue just then something else hit me (see below).  Now I feel bad for removing it.

I don't think Ilana thinks it's cool.  She trained for it and was given a mission by Jacob and never really completed it.  You can debate the semantics of it, but there's something extremely cold about devoting yourself to protecting Jacob and the island, and when it doesn't need you anymore then boom.  Jack and Richard can't even try to kill themselves.  I don't see any point for Ilana's character other than to show the danger of putting your faith in the island and Jacob.
