Episode 6x03 / Re: Disappointed in Richard
« on: February 18, 2010, 09:53:05 AM »
I have to agree, I was also disappointed in Richard. So out of character for him! But maybe Jacob dying changed him somehow? That whole "nice to see you out of those chains" comment has me really curious. Does that mean Richard is no longer immortal? Are the chains figurative or literal? Was he once a slave to the island?  ???

Episode 5x16 / Hurley to the rescue again!
« on: May 15, 2009, 11:49:06 AM »
Hurley has always been one of my favorite characters and I just love how he's the last person you'd expect to save the day, yet he always shows up in the VW van and that's exactly what he does. Hurley kicks ass!  ;D

Episode 5x16 / Re: So what happens to the statue?
« on: May 15, 2009, 11:44:40 AM »
Do the statues ties to motherhood and the like have anything to do with the birthing problem on the island?

Seems to me, if the statue is in fact Tawaret, the birthing problem must be an old one. The inhabitants would honor and/or pacify a specific deity to deal with whatever problem plagued them by erecting a statue.

My theory is that the statue is one of the casualties in the upcoming war. Perhaps our 815ers (or 316ers) are the ones fated to topple the massive structure. Either way, I think it looks bad ass.

My thoughts on the statue was that the birthing problems were a result of the statue being destroyed.

Episode 5x16 / Re: Did anyone else feel sorry for Ben?
« on: May 15, 2009, 11:35:48 AM »
When Locke told Ben that he would be the one to kill Jacob, poor Ben looked bewildered and distraught.    I actually had a little sympathy for the poor guy.   The Manipulator had become manipulated.

I didn't feel sorry for Ben, but my thoughts exactly...the master manipulator had been the one being manipulated all along! How ironic!

Episode 5x16 / Re: the ashes around the cabin

but Illana stepped over the ashes, not through the break/opening in the circle

I noticed that too and thought it was a bit weird.

Episode 5x16 / Re: Do you know how badly I want to kill you?
« on: May 15, 2009, 11:26:38 AM »
I think the reason why UnLocke wants Jacob to die is just to stop the endless
shipwrecks and crashes on the island, experiments that keep failing.

"UnLocke" I love that term!

Episode 5x16 / Re: Possible "Esau" Theory Flaw
« on: May 15, 2009, 11:19:01 AM »
I wonder if, instead of being good or bad, Jacob guides the living and Essau guides the dead.

I like this theory!

Episode 5x16 / Re: Radzinsky & Phil
« on: May 14, 2009, 02:14:42 PM »
Oh yeah!! I hate both characters! Was hoping something would happen to Radzinsky too, but then my husband reminded me that he can't be dead because he's the one that made the blast door map.

Episode 5x16 / Re: RICHARD ALPERT IS DEAD!!!!!
« on: May 14, 2009, 02:13:07 PM »
I think he's saying Richard was immortal/non-aging because Jacob kept him that way. If Jacob is dead, Richard will die. I have no idea, that is one angry post, haha.

I agree...I was thinking maybe Richard was an older version of Jacob's rival that we saw in the beginning and because they can't kill each other (for whatever reason) that instead Jacob make him immortal so he could NEVER die.

Episode 5x16 / Re: Best Line of the Night
« on: May 14, 2009, 02:06:46 PM »
Not to look into that line too deeply, but does anyone think that there is any significance to it because the symbol for Pisces is twin fish?

Just me?

OK, then.

I though Gemini was the twin? I thought that is what he would have been too

Locke: I have a question for you (or something like that)
Ben: I'm a Pisces

Definitely the best line! Actually Ben had a lot of them last night, but when he said it I though "Not that's the best line of the night!" lol

Episode 5x15 / Re: Eloise & Witmore....maybe still siblings?
« on: May 08, 2009, 10:14:58 AM »
I've always thought they were sibilings and now after that comment that Richard made about it "being complicated" makes me think that may be true. Incest is best! LOL Eww! But think about it...aren't Charles and Eloise the only Others with a British accent?? Why is that? Maybe because they are brother and sister? Just my theory, but I hope I'm wrong!

Episode 5x15 / Re: Going to kill Jacob
« on: May 08, 2009, 10:05:36 AM »
I like the hostage theory.  I still remember back in season 3? when they first go to the cabin it is ringed by ashes or some other substance.  It sure looked like a barrier - maybe one that Jacob cannot pass through.  Maybe death will give Jacob freedom.  My second guess is the death of the illusion of Jacob.  Both seem very plausible.  Ben has never seen Jacob, Locke has.  Ben is an impostor and a fraud - I think he is Richard's henchman.  It kind of supports my theory that Richard is the dark to Jacob's light and his full nature has not been exposed yet.  Still groping in the dark...

When I saw the ashes, I thought the same thing. I think Jacob is stuck there, maybe trapped in time somehow. I like the idea that killing Jacob will free him.

Also, did you see the look on Ben's face when Locke said he was going to kill Jacob? Priceless!! lol

Episode 5x15 / Re: Is Richard in love with Eloise?
« on: May 08, 2009, 09:47:46 AM »
My husband got all weirded out by the comment...he was like "Ew, Widmore and Eloise aren' sister..are they?  That WOULD be complicated!"

lol, so gross....

I never thought of it as Richard being in love, but I think there is definitely some secret info on E. and W. that we don't know about yet.

My thoughts exactly! I always thought they were brother and sister and then when Richard make that comment about love being complicated I was like "WHOA maybe ther ARE brother and sister!"

Episode 5x13 / Re: The new Black Jumpsuits
« on: April 23, 2009, 02:58:58 PM »
I agree with the Eloise leading a group theory.  Ilana and Bram got on the plane they knew would crash on the island most likely because of Eloise's knowledge of the flight.

Very true! At first I thought they were working for Widmore, but Eloise knew what plane they had to take to crash on the island and it didn't seem that Widmore had that info. I think Mrs. Hawking is leading a whole other faction of people (Ilana and Bram including) to fight for the island. Maybe they are part of the War that was referred to earlier in the season?
