Episode 5x16 / Hurley and MIles talk to dead Jacob and locke
« on: May 14, 2009, 05:36:50 PM »
I just thought of this in another post.  Hurley has yet to really have an essential story line.  To date he has really only been comedic relief.  Miles too.  But Hurley and Miles remain on the show (not  red shirts).  Jacob really wanted him to come back to the island.  In fact, jacob spoke candidly to Hurley and told him he was blessed not cursed.   And that it is really special to be able to talk to dead friends.  Even Illanas crew tried to recruit Miles. I think Jacob knew he would die and needs Hurley (and or miles or both) so that he can give instructions from the grave.

Locke will stay dead, but Hurley can see and talk to dead people.  I think all the other aparitions of dead people (Christian and Yemi....) on the Island are Smokey, and I think Smokey is Jacobs black shirted nemesis.  Hurley has to have a bigger role to play, so far he has only been comedic relief, but no neccessary part in the story.  I think his time will come next season and he and perhaps miles too will be able to talk to Jacob and Locke and any other special folks who are dead.

Episode 5x16 / Re: A red herring... litteraly!!
« on: May 14, 2009, 01:35:08 PM »
Definately not a red herring fish.  that fish was a red rock fish common in the pacific ocean along the reefs of coastlines.

I think Esau or Jacobs rival is smokey.   Smokey is black, the rival wears black, Esau in the bible is subserviant to Jacob (Jacob can likely control smokey, or at least esau suggests that he can not kill jacob), Smokey visited lock in the Jungle back in season one, and Lock lived.  I think that is when Esau found his loop hole.  He found a person that can be easily manipulated (as we were shown in all of locks flashbacks).

Episode 5x09 / Re: Eathan ?
« on: March 19, 2009, 02:12:01 PM »
Ok, here is my theory about Amy, (dead) Paul, and Ethan.  Amy and Paul were "others" and spying on the DI as secret agents or infiltrators.  Some how, Amy and Paul got sideways with there spy mission and thats why the "others" killed Paul and were about to shot Amy.  Perhaps, Amy gets straight or makes it right with the "others" by organizing the Purge or some other dastardly deed, and she is accepted back into the "others", and so is her child "Ethan", by default.  She would then be Amelia in new otherton in the future and ethan could have left the island and went to school as normal folks do and learned to be a Dr.

Episode 4x13 / Re: Aaron Questions???

Historically throughout the show, the meaningful/ghost dreams that the islanders have are preceded by a close up on the dreamers eyeball showing the dreamers eyes dialate or puples get smaller.  This did not happen with Kate's dream of Claire.  perhaps it was just a regular dream and not an island ghost dream.

Episode 4x13 / Loved the Finale, But......
« on: May 30, 2008, 01:50:13 PM »
I loved the finale, but I think there are a few inconsistencies.   How the heck can Keamy's arm-band, heart-rate, radio-transmitter broadcast a signal when he is supposedly "deep" underground?  That is a little far fetched  the signal would have faded the minute Keamy went in the elevator shaft.  Also, the ship didnt start moving towards the island until after the tender/zodiac had come and gone twice once with Saiyed and again with Faraday.  Thats a long haul on a little zodiac on the open ocean.  Again a little far fetched.  I think Im just not supposed to think that hard about these things and just accept them as plausible.

Episode 4x12 / Re: Freighter 90 miles from island
« on: May 22, 2008, 01:15:29 PM »
While I was watching the repeat/enhanced version of cabin fever last night, the enhanced subtitles stated that the freighter was 90 miles off the coast of the island.  as far as time of day Sayied left the freighter and reached the island who knows with the time shift, but wouldnt it still take the same amount of time?  Or would the trip take less time because of the interruption to space time/or the time travel experienced between  the island and the real world? I really dont know but, but I think it is a little far fetched that such a small boat could make a 90 mile trip in anything but totally smooth seas.    wind waves (let alone south pacific swell) would capsize that boat in an instant.

Episode 4x12 / Freighter 90 miles from island

If the freighter is 90 miles from the island, how the hell does sayied make it to the island from the freither (90 miles) in a little zodiac that might be able to go 10 miles an hour at best in open ocean that would make it a 9 hour trip minimum. In addition, there is no way they could carry enough gas to make it that far.  Undecided

Episode 4x09 / Ben's Hurt Arm in Halliwax's Coat in tunisia
« on: April 25, 2008, 03:31:01 AM »
Any one notice Ben grabbing his arm like it was really hurting him.  He was wearing HAlliwaxs coat.  One of the iterations of candle/halliwax/wickman showed him with a fake arm.  Some speculate that it was his arm that fell from the ceiling in the ORchid video.  Some say that his arm will be found by sawyer and claire in the jungle.  Does the teleportation affect your limbs?

Episode 4x05 / Re: Flashback? Time travel?
« on: February 29, 2008, 02:50:35 AM »
I think everyone is forgetting that the copter with Sayid, desmond, and the pilot (fayhey) started off at dusk and arrived during the morning.  They time traveled while they were flying.  a day or so went by on the island but only 20 minutes on the copter.
