Episode 4x11 / Locke=Dalai Lama?
« on: May 09, 2008, 01:15:53 AM »
First read this:

How is the Dalai Lama chosen?
Senior Buddhist monks and Tibetan government officials begin a search for the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama after the death of the previous Lama. These searchers look for a boy who was born around the same time as the death of the previous Lama. According to the British Broadcasting Corp., the officials can decide where to look for the reincarnation in several ways: by way of a dream; by watching the direction the smoke drifts after the cremation of the previous Lama and then searching accordingly; or from some sign or vision from a holy lake in central Tibet.

Once found, the officials present the boy with possessions of the previous Dalai Lama to determine whether the boy is familiar with them. If the child chooses the artifacts that belonged to he previous Lama, than that, along with the other signs, is believed to prove he is a reincarnation.

we had Locke having to choose "items" and failing
We have always known of smokie -- watching it drift.
Holy Lake=cabin
both ben & locke had dreams
claire theoretically gave up Aaron to be in the right place -- when a child is thought to be the new dalai lama, their parents usually allow them to be taken to live at a monestary

I don't know waht this means, but it just screamed buddhism and the reincarnation of a new leader. Is it Locke right now and Aaron in the future?

Episode 4x02 / Return of Greg Grunberg!
« on: February 08, 2008, 01:33:06 AM »
So the pilot is back. In Sledge's body count it counts only 1 dead pilot, there are always 2 pilots in the cockpit, captain and first officer. So it very well could have been the other pilot shown in the wreckage. It couldn't have been Seth Norris(Greg), we all saw him in season 1 get sucked out of the cockpit by the monster. So the question is, was it the other pilot in the water, or was the scenario a faked? And with the return of this character to the plot, does that mean he could still be alive? Why are they bringing the pilot back into the story?

Episode 3x22 / Hurley proves he's valuable
« on: May 24, 2007, 02:14:26 AM »
Hurley rocked in this episode. I felt so bad for him when Sawyer told him not to come - and last week with Charlie.

So was it the weight or his bad luck or something else that made them say no to him helping. Just curious as to what others think.

Never thought I'd see that van again! Thought he was going to drive it right into the water! What a great way for Hurley to end the season!

Episode 3x16 / The Game Has Changed!
« on: April 12, 2007, 01:08:18 AM »
I've been hearing for weeks from podcasts, columns, etc. from the producers that there would be a significant event where the game would change.
I kept waiting and waiting, I kept thinking is this it, is this it?

Well like they said we would have no doubt, we would know.  I think Juliette is the big change in the game?  Am I right?  I didn't see it coming, but now, wow, she had me!

just want to know if you all may have heard this and think that this is it!

Episode 3x15 / Sawyer/Leader/PowerStruggle
« on: April 05, 2007, 12:40:36 AM »
So Sawyer has the ability to lead as we saw and to repent.  However with Jack & Sayid coming back to camp next week, will there be a bit of a power struggle between the 3, especially with Juliette in tow?  All 3 have led the losties in some way.  Will Sawyer stay some what positive -- even if it's to save face with Sun?  I think this could be a turning point in Sawyer's storyline.

Episode 3x12 / Lindsey hates Christian
« on: March 15, 2007, 01:01:50 AM »
I wonder what Christian did to Claire's mom (or better yet Lindsey) to make Lindsey hate him so much.  It made Claire's mom tell her he died.  Something spiteful happened!
Did he promise to leave his US family?  Did he sleep with Lindsey too?  Did this have something to do with Sarah leaving Jack?  So many thoughts and questions swimming in my head!
Anyone else care to speculate?

Episode 3x11 / Are the Other's Born Again?
« on: March 09, 2007, 01:02:23 AM »
So, as I'm reading all the forums, people keep mentioning that Ben said he had been on the island his whole life.

When he said this and as I've read about how long they've been there, who got there when, Ben being Alex's father, etc... Could Ben's "whole life" be a reborn life?
There are so many religion/bible connotations that Dharma/the Island and the community is viewed as sort of salvation of sorts to some.  I'm not saying like an evangelica. I'm wondering if they are reborn to follow Jacob?

Did the Others(Ben, Tom, Ethan, etc) get to the island and find the hostiles and try to convert them?  Is this why Juliette is bitter towards her group?  She was forced to go there for science reasons, but saw the big picture and the cult like tendencies?

Maybe Patchy was excommunicated and was in a jail of sorts(Ms Clue checking on his whereabouts)  Maybe this is why Juliette was marked, why the children were taken.  It kind of plays off other theories of producing a new society, however I wonder if the "Others" feel reborn and starting a new life on the island.

The other issue I have is there a difference between the others and the hostiles.  If no, this theory could be null!
