Episode 4x07 / Michael

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - So Michael is on the boat, but what's he been up to all this time?

"I wish I could tell you," actor Harold Perrineau said in an interview with The Associated Press.

It's the question that's nagged "Lost" viewers since the tormented single father castaway played by Perrineau sailed away with his son from the ABC drama at the end of the second season and didn't return at any point during the third.

Although he's been listed as a cast member throughout the current fourth season, Perrineau didn't appear onscreen until Thursday, when Michael was introduced as a deck-swabbing crewman named Kevin Johnson on that mysterious freighter that's been drifting off the coast and apparently giving those aboard a deadly case of cabin fever.

Viewers will find out where Michael has been for the past season and a half about half a month in island time during the March 20 episode, which was filmed last year before the writer's strike forced ABC to shut down production.

The Michael-centric episode or should we call him Kevin now? will feature flashbacks detailing what happened after Perrineau's character shockingly gunned down fellow passengers Ana-Lucia and Libby in order to release seemingly evil Ben and retrieve his son Walt from captivity.

"I hope people see Michael's return and think, 'Oh, this is gonna be good,'" Perrineau told the AP over lunch Wednesday. "I hope they think this ride is good. We busted our butts doing this one. It felt like we were making a movie because there's so much stuff that happens in this episode."

Getting the rest of the Michael-related "Lost" questions out of the way: Was Michael ever able to get back home to New York? Will his son also return to the show? And was he the man in the coffin during that jaw-dropping flashfoward at the end of season three? According to Perrieanu, the answers are yes, maybe and he has no idea.

"Oh, I thought for sure it was Michael in the coffin," he said. "But I still don't know."

Perrineau, whose "Lost" return was triumphantly teased at Comic-Con 2007, says the show's writers have kept him just as clueless as the audience. He hasn't read any scripts for the six planned post-strike episodes. However, that doesn't mean viewers should expect less Michael after next week. Perrineau was scheduled to report to set in Hawaii following Wednesday's interview with the AP.

"I know I'll be there until the end of the season," he said. "I have no idea if it goes beyond that or not."

The 44-year-old actor from New York tenses up when he talks about the third season. Perrineau was the only one of the 14 original "Lost" cast members to not appear in a third-season flashback, mind-bending vision or otherwise. He says he "wasn't so happy" about the creative decision to leave Michael and Walt off the island and focus on others.

"I was hurt, really hurt," said Perrineau. "I told myself I had to watch the show, so I at least knew what was going on in case I was brought back, but then I was like, 'Why?' I never knew what was going on before. Why should I start trying to figure it out now?"

Instead of waiting by the phone to hear if his character would return to the series, Perrineau moved on to other projects, including a part in the film "28 Weeks Later" and a role in the CBS pilot "Demons." When "Demons" didn't get picked up, that made room in Perrineau's schedule to get "Lost" again.

"I started with 'Lost,' so I really want to see Michael until the end," says Perrineau. "I don't know what that means. I guess I won't know what that means until the end. I just know I didn't want Michael and Walt to get on that boat and that be it. That didn't seem so cool."

Perrineau believes "Lost" masterminds Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof really do have a plan for Michael, and he thinks it might finally come together now that he's returned to fray. Of all the questions Perrineau has about his character, the one thing he's most interested to know is surprisingly simple.

"It seems like all the other characters on the island have dealt with redemption, in some form or another," said Perrineau. "But not Michael. He's only ever contended with being a father. The thing I want to know is: Why was Michael put on the island in the first place?"

Now that Perrineau's back, maybe he'll get his answer.

Episode 4x05 / How did Minkowski .........

know Penny was Desmond's girlfriend?? did I miss this??

Episode 4x05 / My Review Thought etc
« on: February 29, 2008, 03:01:21 PM »
a few things

*no mpu's FOR SURE now

* desmonds key safe incident was the massive electro magnetism cause behind him jumping to the past

* george minowski said the boat was docked for two weeks, around desmonds incident if i'm not mistaken, this opened up the island for a moment i'm convinced

* i truly believe Frank the pilot is helping Sayid, and does not REALLY want to work for the powers behind the boat, i think he wants to find out what happened to the plain

* i think Ben/Locke decides that 6 people are going back, i also think the frieghter will somewhat be taken over

* i think Charles Widmore is more involved then i initially thought, based on "direct orders" not to answer Penny's call, and Faraday/Franks reaction on the island with Desmond in regards to Penny's name

* based off the calendar on the wall, are we truly (around) 100 days on the island?? i have yet to see screencaps or rewatch yet

So i dont know if any of you remember my pitbull Bekki.....sadly we had to put her to sleep in October, as she developed cancer. We had a tumor removed but we didnt catch everything in time. She lived a great life and was an ambassador for her breed!

About 5 months before that sad day I found a Shih-Tzu pup for my girlfriend and Bekki. Once Bekki was layed to rest I had to find myself another pittie, as I've been rescuing them now for close to 15yrs. So the search started, I found a PHENOMINAL dog, my first male dog ever!!

His name is Gunnar, he's a 18month old American Pit Bull Terrier. He's actually a therapy dog, who works with aggressive rescue dogs, he corrects them when they get out of line and keeps them in check, so they will be able to socialize throughout their life

so here are some videos of my two kids

these videos are labeled "dogfight" - "pitbull fight" purposely, this is to school the general public about PitBulls and how they ARE NOT AGGRESSIVE ANIMALS by nature, they are great family pets, absolutely love children and are very loyal to their owners, in fact they score better on tempermant tests then collies, cocker spaniels, dalmations etc

Episode 4x03 / Miles and Jack
« on: February 17, 2008, 12:38:46 AM »
In the episode before they head off for Charlotte, Miles and Jack are talking about Ben, and Miles (from what i could tell) was saying he was being paid to bring him back and he only knows that he has to get Ben

or something to that extent, could anyone make out this conversation, it seems that ThePowersThatBe somewhat muted this purposely

Episode 4x03 / My New Theory(s) based on the Economist 4.3
« on: February 15, 2008, 11:52:59 AM »
#1 - Widmore is behind this freighter, Abbadon stuff (my reasoning, when Desmond mentioned Penny Widmore to the pilot and Farraday both heads/eyes perked up when the name Widmore was said)

#1a - both Naomi (hired by Abbadon) and Elsa (in the flashfoward were wearing the  same bracelet)

#2 - Ben has in fact left the island on several occasions (based on passport, bizarre hidden walk in closet, money, Miles Photo)

#3 - There is a time manipulation going on, NO MPU, no time traveling per say, but a manipulation, i think this is happening from whatever "bubble" is surrounding the island

#4 - I'm going out on a limb with this one, but i'm going to venture to say that the pilot, farraday, and Miles do NOT make it back to the freighter in the end, and this is who Abbadon is talking about when he asked Hurley if they were still alive, I do not think Ben was talking about the Oceanic 6 when he was speaking with Sayid, i think he meant his friends that remained on the island

I have more, but will update later, just got into work

Episode 4x03 / mpu's time, time traveling etc
« on: February 15, 2008, 11:14:45 AM »
so did last nights episode prove to anyone that MPU's are NOT happening?

its obvious we saw a time delay, or manipulation if you will

personally i think last night proved two things.....

#1 - NO MPU's

#2 - this show is absolutley fantastic!!!

Episode 4x02 / Hurley's comment to Jack
« on: February 11, 2008, 04:15:46 PM »
not sure if this was brought up, if so please merge into whatever thread

When Jack goes to visit Hurley at the mental ward, he clearly says to Jack

"we need to go back" - hurley
"We're never going back" - jack

"HE will do whatever he can to get us back" - hurley

who is he?? Locke?? Ben?? Walt?? Jacob?

did i mention this already???

Episode 4x02 / Locke Takes Orders From WalT
« on: February 08, 2008, 01:41:34 PM »
ok not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, but when Sawyer asks Locke who he's taking orders from these days, he didnt say Jacob, he said Walt

but he also said he wanted to go the cabin

is Jacob not visible/existing to everyone?? Or does the island manifest itself into different people based on who's "special" at the time?

Locke didnt mention Jacob at all, but did mention the cabin, so its not like he was keeping quiet just because Ben was there, ya know?

island to ben = jacob
island to locke = walt
island to hurley = christian(??)

(if this has been posted please merge)

LOST Talk / the white tennis shoes
« on: February 07, 2008, 02:55:52 PM »
led jack to the cave to find food and water for the losties

now leads hurley to locke

can anyone else think of the white shoes playing a role?

i think jacob is using things to direct people around on the island, show them the "path"

Episode 4x01 / Anyone see this?? (please move to the proper forum)
« on: February 04, 2008, 11:49:54 AM »
my apologies, as i know this is NOT in the right area, my mother showed this to me last night

is it legit?

The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue.

Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim's loft.

Concerned for tenants' safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room.

According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Latham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son.

Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening."
