I know this show has ended, but I feel it's forever discussion-worthy and simply awesome.  Plus a lot of people are rediscovering it thanks to Netflix.

Long live Sledgeweb!

Episode 6x16 / It worked
« on: May 29, 2010, 10:33:33 PM »
Juliet was talking about the candy bar, not the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all obsessed over this statement meaning that the bomb re-set time, but she was just having a flash to their purgatory/ALT timeline and the candy bar falling out of the machine.  That is all she meant by it.

I was waiting so intently for the "We could go dutch" line that I didn't even realize she said "It worked" also until I rewatched it tonight.

(My apologies if this has already been discovered/discussed by others, but I didn't see this in the other thread titles yet.)

Episode 6x16 / Finale drinking game ideas?

Got any?

Know of any good ones already out there??

Our viewing party needs a good list!!

Episode 6x14 / What does this mean for the "new Jacob"?
« on: May 11, 2010, 11:30:01 PM »
... aka (if you believe like I do) for Jack?

I couldn't help but sympathize for Jack -- the 99% obvious choice to be the new protector of the island -- during this episode.  I thought back a lot to Flocke's words: "There IS nothing to protect."  Which of course, made my feelings about Jack's noble actions during the last few episodes wish and wash.

I feel like Jack has scales over his eyes now, and I either want someone to wash them off, or for him and Jacob (and Crazy Mom?) to be proven right.

I don't like feeling like all of Jack's heroic actions are in vain and even laughable.

Episode 6x08 / Butterfly
« on: March 29, 2010, 02:17:02 AM »
Did anyone else notice the black/blue butterfly flitting in to the Black Rock before the MIB appeared to Richard in his human form?  Was that supposedly the MIB in butterfly-form or just something for us to look at?

Episode 6x03 / How did HURLEY get out of the car??
« on: February 26, 2010, 10:45:33 AM »
My astute 17-year-old sister asked this, which I think is a great observation I haven't seen yet:

In her words:

"Hurley parked way close to John Locke's car which made it impossible for Locke's rampey thing to come out... right?
well... How was Hurley able to get out of his car?"

Episode 6x02 / Ethan Goodspeed/Ethan Rom
« on: February 09, 2010, 07:29:49 PM »
... just so happens to be in tonight's episode!!!  ;D ;D ;D

(Source -- TV Guide:

Which raises the question -- HOW is he in this episode?  He shouldn't be in the Altnernate 2004 timeline, because he was never on the plane.  And in the 2007 timeline, he should be dead already!  Any guess before the big moment in T-minus 2.5 hours?

Episode 6x01 / Temple people
« on: February 02, 2010, 11:39:49 PM »
Any idea who these people are and where/when they came from?  They all seem to speak different languages and have different origins.

The stewardess from the plane is among them.

Maybe loners wander into their group and, if not killed, can join?

Is there anyone else from the plane that is a member of the Temple People?

Season 5 / Predictions ...
« on: May 13, 2009, 02:11:29 AM »
I'm calling this right now ...

The Lampost, all snazzy and jazzy and amazing as it is (and as I want it to be), is bunk.  Eloise didn't need the cool floor map or awesome pendulum to predict which flight was going to be snapped to the Island -- because Jack and Kate told/will tell her simply that they took Ajira 316.

The schmancy room was all an elaborate cover-up which enabled her to come off as their savior/fortune-teller rather than have to tell them that they'll actually go back in time and have a run-in with the others, which is how she knows which flight to tell them to take.

Schmancy ruse. Called it.
