Episode 3x04 / Props to Pulp Fiction Fans...
« on: October 27, 2006, 04:34:12 PM »
All of you out there that know and love the movie Pulp Fiction probably picked up on the reference given to it by the dude with the huge needle in this episode.  He was worried about plunging it into Sawyer's heart and the other guy said to put it in the sternum like in the movie.  I know that Pulp Fiction is from ?1992? or so, but how are these others getting popular/current entertainment if they have been on the island for so long?  These two men with the needle were over the age of 14 so maybe they lived in the "real world" before being brought to the island-if people get brought?  I don't know.  So confusing!!!

Episode 2x23 / Fenry pushed the button!
« on: May 28, 2006, 03:02:46 AM »
My guess is that Fenry must have entered the code and pushed the button when the blast doors came down on Locke's leg-even though he lied to Locke and told him that he didn't.  Why would he want to make Locke question his faith in the island?  Is that part of the experiment?  This is all about screwing with people's minds?  Dumb post, but I think that question must have been answered from the reaction to not pushing the button in the finale.

Episode 2x23 / Desmond's Boat Race
« on: May 25, 2006, 03:14:53 PM »
Does anyone else think that the boat race that Desmond went on was a huge set up by Widmore to get Des out of Pen's life for good?  The race was sponsored by Widmore and maybe he knew Desmond would enter in order to win and prove that he is worthy of his daughter.  Again, maybe, Widmore banked on that and sent Libby to meet Des and offer her "dead" husbands boat.

THe question with this line of thinking (and I'm thinking out loud) is how were they sure Desmond's boat would crash on the island?  It was all too convenient that Kelving happened to come onto the beach to take him back to the hatch.  He had to know that Des was coming.  I think this because a plane crashed on the island and Des didn't even know about it.  Thinking I'd notice a plane over a boat crash any day!

Any thoughts?

LOST References (Books, Movies and Music) / The Turn of the Screw
« on: May 25, 2006, 03:01:40 PM »
Don't forget Turn of the Screw mentioned both by Locke in last night's episode and in the novel, Bad Twin.  I think it's a Sherlock Holmes book, but I've never read it.  Anyone who has that can enlighten us on the plot line??

Spoiler Theories and Speculation / Henry Gale
« on: May 24, 2006, 07:03:41 PM »
A while back, Henry said that Jack wouldn't be able to trade him for Walt because he had messed up his mission and "He" (whomever that is) is a powerful, but unforgiving man.  So, why was Michael instructed to get Henry out and let him escape in exchange for his son, Walt.  Is Henry more important than we are led to believe?   Were the OTHERS testing Michael's commitment to getting Walt back?  This is a socio-psychological test-no???  Would you kill two innocent women for your child?  A child that you don't even know and doesn't know you?  What do others think?
