Episode 6x13 / Confusion about Sayid
« on: May 05, 2010, 12:53:43 PM »
Okay, I admit there are a lot of things to be confused about regarding Lost BUT Sayid's character mystifies me this season. It was my understanding he died and was resurrected (by whom I don't know) with a definite zombie turn toward the 'dark side' like Claire. Then he proceeds to follow Flock's every command, while acting completely strange towards the other Losties. Suddenly, he is on the sub and redeems himself by trying to save his friends and giving Jack the message he is the one who must get to Des. Didn't Dogen flat out say Sayid had the sickness within him and it was too late? What happened??

Episode 6x12 / So, is Jack dead and that's why he is now "with" MIB?
« on: April 21, 2010, 02:38:52 AM »
Having just watched this week's eppy, I was wondering if MIB is saying Jack is "with him" because he died in the explosion? This was an interesting episode, I'm just not sure exactly how it moved us forward. Sawyer offering Kate an apple was a nice twist. Anyway, I welcome your thoughts.

I realize that many posters noticed that (in every episode this season) there was some sort of mirror or reflection image involving a main character during his/her time sideways sequence. Did this episode have any? I don't remember seeing one.

Episode 5x07 / Why didn't Ben want John to visit Mrs. Hawking?
« on: February 26, 2009, 12:57:17 PM »
What's the deal?! Why does Ben (at the split second John is about to jump and hang himself) come through the door and plead with John, begging him to come to his senses and stop his horrific decision to kill himself, only to turn around and strangle him?
I know when John mentioned Mrs. Hawking, it sent Ben into a "I know something you don't know" moment. So is it the fact that Ben didn't know Locke knew about Mrs. Hawking that convinced him to kill John? Otherwise, why not just let him alone and he would have been dead anyway? Which leads to the question why didn't Ben want John to visit Mrs. Hawking?

Episode 5x04 / Religious Undertones to Aaron??
« on: February 05, 2009, 06:11:13 PM »
Is it me, or do there seem to be many religious based references pointing to Aaron's critical importance? For example, the bright beam of light (from the hatch) subsequent to Aaron being born. Also do you recall the "Madonna with Child" symbolic poses with Claire, Aaron, Kate, and a dove from an earlier season. Not to mention "The Little Prince" reference. The writers always seem to return to the themes of Science and Faith. What will Aaron's role ultimately be in the land of the Lost?

Episode 3x12 / Locke Theory
« on: March 15, 2007, 02:39:32 PM »
This is my first time to here is yet another theory to throw out there, and see how it sticks.
Desmond, regardless of circumstance, keeps finding himself back on the island. It appears to be agonizing for him but, as he relives past events, he tries to alter them as best he can for the better; IE Charlie's guardian. Who's to say that Locke is not also a "return islander"? He seems comfortable with the surroundings,
he appears to have a personal agenda, and it also would explain why Patchy seems to remember him.
