LOST Talk / killed by Paik?
« on: May 22, 2010, 10:09:32 PM »
I was watching the pilot episode with the pop up stuff, and it mentioned Sun having an affair with her English teacher and that he was killed by her father as revealed in the Glass Ballerina.  I thought he committed suicide or did I miss something?

Episode 5x11 / old Claire?
« on: April 01, 2009, 11:06:42 PM »
The lady who took Aaron in the grocery store looked kind of like an old Claire, and I thought I caught an Australian accent too but I was too busy making jokes and not paying attention.  What does everyone else think?  I thought it was kind of weird and creepy.  If she really did have an Australian accent, then I'm sure it was done on purpose or maybe it was just Kate seeing things and feeling guilty about leaving Claire behind?

LOST Talk / my nightmare about Lost
« on: March 26, 2009, 08:37:34 AM »
I just had a nightmare about Lost.  I better type it out before I forget because it terrified me in my sleep.  Jack was wandering around, probably in the jungle and his dad appeared creepily out of nowhere.  I can't remember exactly what he said to Jack, but I think he told him "you have to go home" only it was in a cryptic way.  And then Christian turned around slowly and unnaturally and I could hear a high-pitch hum kind of like the sound of the flashes and I could barely make out Christian's eyes begin to cloud over like they were turning gray and filling with smoke and I was expecting another Smokey moment like Christian bursting into smoke and flying away, but nothing happened.  I think he just kind of stepped out of sight into the jungle, but it still ratcheted up the intensity level.  Next scene I remember, Jack is pounding on the door of a lighthouse.  Not THE lighthouse.  It was just a regular lighthouse and things start to get really weird.  It's night out by this time and raining.  Jack pounds on the door and Dwight Schrute from the Office answers the door and Jack demands he let him in.  Dwight Schrute is his typical asshole self saying it's late and no one is allowed in but Jack forces himself in and goes into an office.  Dwight says he can't go in there but he loses his glasses after Jack shoves him away.  There's a quick shot of a gollum-looking zombie thing hissing.  Dwight is feeling around for his glasses.  Jack rummages through the office, searching through files, it seems looking for something in particular while Dwight touches the old wooden table that's kind of like a picnic table in the other room and feels around but his glasses fall to the floor.  He goes to reach down to feel for them on the floor but his tie gets stuck between the boards of the table.  Back to Jack, he seems to have found what he was looking for.  I can't remember what he found or if it was even revealed in my dream, but I think it was some files and a photo.  Back to Dwight, he's struggling to free his tie whne he hears the hissing and I see the zombie had come through the open door of the lighthouse out of the rain.  Like I said, he's kind of small and kind of looks like a cross between a scary gollum and one of those natives from Skull Island in Peter Jackson's King Kong (wow both Peter Jackson movies.  The zombie crawls onto the table and just when you think it's about to get Dwight, you hear a shotgun blast and the zombie flies back dead and you see a group of young children who apparently been sleeping and woke up from the commotion, one is wearing a nightgown and holding a shotgun.

So I'm watching this as an observer as a TV show and I'm freaking out and thinking wow, that was f'ed up.  What is going on with Lost now?  I immediately imagine that people will be complaining about how you see a burst of blood when the zombie gets shot and people will say that's unrealistic because zombies don't bleed since they're dead.  So I jump on the message boards to see what everyone else is saying and the consensus seems to be that the episode was frightening and unexpected and Lost seems to be taking a different direction.  Some even said they didn't think they could take the high-intensity scenes mixed with horrific images.

So in my dream, I went to bed and when I woke up from my nightmare, I had it in my head that I was dreaming about tonight's episode so it wasn't a dream at all.  I even remember thinking so this is the direction the series is going to take now, and I envisioned more zombie encounters since one of the upcoming episodes is titled "Dead is Dead" or something like that.  It's not often I get freaked out by a dream, or that I dream about Lost.  And now I can get made fun of by sharing it on here.  I just think it's funny how detailed and real some dreams can seem and they make perfect sense in your head when you have them.  And I'm amused by all of the different elements I worked into it, like characters from other TV shows and people who don't exist, yet it all seemed like a natural fit in my head.

Episode 5x09 / anyone notice this?
« on: March 18, 2009, 11:30:05 PM »
I didn't see it but my brother said he saw it.  When Christian was showing Sun and Frank the Dharma photo, my brother said he saw a girl sitting in the background.  I didn't notice it.  He was like "Did you see that?  There was a girl sitting back there.  It looked like an editing mistake or something like she wasn't supposed to be there."

Episode 5x08 / has anyone suggested this person as Jacob?
« on: March 08, 2009, 06:31:07 PM »
I just had a thought regarding Jacob and his identity.  I thought about the Alvar Hanso stuff back in season 2 and how it seemed important at the time but nothing really came of it.  I'm thinking Jacob will either be somehow tied to Alvar Hanso.  Specifically, I think Jacob is Magnus Hanso.

Episode 5x02 / Walt
« on: January 28, 2009, 09:49:41 PM »
Just saw Walt in the Tyson Anytizers commercial while watching the Lost "The Lie" repeat.  It was weird and sad at the same time.  I'd like to see him reintegrated into the show instead of just an occasional cameo.

Episode 4x05 / Widmore doesn't have a problem with Des
« on: February 29, 2008, 03:22:19 AM »
Surprised no one else mentioned this yet that I've seen.  It jumped out at me during the episode.  Desmond basically asked Widmore why he has a problem with him and Widmore responded that it wasn't he who had a problem with Desmond.  So who has a problem with Desmond if not daddy Widmore?  My first instinct was Penny and that she's been playing Des the whole time.  But everything about them seems sincere so I have hard time imagining it, which is why I can't discount it because it would be a good shocker.  But I think that conversation was significant and I guess a bit under the radar.  Or maybe I'm missing something completely obvious and there's no mystery at all.  I'm not really focused tonight.

Episode 4x02 / trading ship
« on: February 08, 2008, 06:48:40 AM »
At the beginning, when they find the boat and have news reporters, a reporter says something about how they were looking for the remains of a trading ship.  Black Rock maybe?

Episode 3x20 / Richard Alpert Doesn't age?
« on: May 10, 2007, 12:20:29 AM »
I'm surprised no one has wondered about this yet.  What was up with Richard in Ben's flashback?  The guy apparently hasn't aged in 30 years.  And it was weird how he just appeared there, and he called Ben by his name, but I don't remember Ben ever telling him his name, but I could be wrong about that.  I'm so confused.  We know the island doesn't affect aging... Ben has aged... Alex has aged...

Episode 3x16 / time theory debunked
« on: April 12, 2007, 01:52:04 PM »
Lots of people have been saying that "time works differently on the island" as if people age different and that time moves faster or slower on the island.  I never agreed with that and it seems to me like this episode proved that time moves normally on the island.  Juliet watched a live feed of some guy watching her sister who she hasn't seen for three years and her sister had a child who looked about three years old.  Plus the paper clarified that there was no strange time fluctuation.
