the date the lady told ben was october 2005, so 11 months had passed since he left the island. dont know your other questions though.

well October is way later than 108 days after 22 sept 2004 it's roughly just over 3 months like so Ben defintely traveled through time and space, so the Island probably moved through time and soace, and if thats true then a fair few things make a bit more sence like the black rock etc.

I think that the two islands are really one island connected by land under the sea....... maybe

What I want to know is what daye exactly did the chopper leave the island? we know that they were there for 108 day's from 22 sept 2004, but really it's 101 days because they were on Penny's boat for a week, also, what was the exact date that Ben arrived in Tunisia, or roughly bearing in mind he had to steal a horse and ride through the desert to the closest place and find the hotel place he stayed at and asked the date, and what was that date? and then when exactly did he meet up with Sayid? how much time passed between him getting there and meeting up with him etc....

Just some of my thoughts in trying to clarify whether ben moved through space or space and time really, and also would explain some things if Ben met Sayid after being there a while and getting through to his off island contacts to get updated on the situation.

Well, when you see the scene, the water is rushing into the center of where the island used to be, so maybe everything that is physically touching within the dome/bubble goes with the island.

That gave me a wierd image of a guy jumpin in the air just the island moves only to land in water DOH!!!

has there ever been an episode with no FB's or FF"s??

err didn't the s2 episode that told the tailies story have no ff's or ff's in it, I suppose you could say it was all one big flashback but....

I think I would call that technicaly a flashback,

though a flashback to a month ago, it was not in line with the rest of the stories real time. and I think they were going back to what was happening real time or at least at the end when shannon was shot they caught up to real time.

We could argue that The Constant didn't have any ff's or fb's...

Thats a pretty good point I'd forgotten about that, it was just mid time travelling

well to be honest I have to agree that it is a flashback, I just couldn't think of any example where there had been no flashbacks or forwards or whatever in them, that was the only one that sprang to mind, because it was technically a flashback but had no other flashbacks or any other normal time story in it, it was just one episode that showed everything that happened from the crash to the shooting :D meh

how long is it now? I'm in Scotland and so need to wait a bit longer for a torrent file :)

After watching the producers special last night, they stated the island is not purgatory, not hell, they are alive somewhere "in the space time continuum".

These guys are Star Trek Fans eh?

Any way, someone here brought it up a long time ago (don't know who sometime around flashes b4 your eyes),  MPU'S.

And what if on the island they see, just like Desmond moments in time but they (others) know which MPU the given event is taking place and that particular MPU which they went to recruit Juliet, her husband got killed by a bus,  a lot less work than planning around the route?

That would explain how a plane full of people are at the bottom of the ocean Dead, though I don't like the theory very much, it makes the most sense and I'm sure the writers can tie it in without Killing the show (jumping the Shark)

I remember that thread and I loved the theory, wasnt sure if it was 'Lost' but I loved cos, well I'm a trekie, and also cos i did explain alot, just wasn't sure if they'd take that route, but it was an excellent theory, if it comes ture I'll be pretty chuffed, if it doesn't well I hope pretty chuffed anyway :D

Episode 3x19 / Re: WHY did the Others want Cooper dead!?!
« on: May 05, 2007, 12:49:53 AM »
I've been pretty much under the impression that the Others are perfectly willing to kill someone who's bad, or to kill to get what they want, I always thought it was only bad to kill one of their of own, hence why Juliette was put through the trial. Have the others actually killed any of the losties, or was it just the slightly deranged ones (Ethan..)? This thread totally confused me in my thinkin...

Episode 3x16 / Re: Theories and Questions about the Gas Masks..

There's some good points here that I hadn't thought of at all, but that was mainly cos my first impression of events was, the Ben Juliette chat, the gassing of the losties, the dragging Kate into the jungle and handcuffing of jules to her, and then the rest etc as we saw last week, I maybe wrong though :D

Now, here's a complicating factor:  I believe Locke is also on his way to making the same mistake that Ben has.  He pretty much judged Kate on the same basis the Others did.  They told him what was in the file...that she killed her father, robbed a bank, is on the run from the law.....and he condemned her for it.  Well, he has no idea of the context of her actions.  He knows WHAT she did, but not WHY she did it, and that makes all the difference.

I hadn't thought of that at all, I quite like it :D if he suddenly starts struggling to walk we'll know for sure hehehe

Episode 3x15 / Re: Rain
« on: April 08, 2007, 06:04:19 PM »
I couldn't really be bothered reading the whole thread again so if I've repeated something I apologise.

OK, here's what I think regarding the rain, Locke knew it was going to rain because the Island told him it was gonna rain, Juliette knew it was gonna rain cos she read the manual... so to speak. :D
:D Good one. I figure who gives a hoot? The boys got to watch two hot women from the show roll around fighting in the rain and us girlies got to see..well, two women rolling around in the rain fighting LOL

aint that the truth

Episode 3x15 / Re: Can Juliet Be Trusted?
« on: April 07, 2007, 10:56:45 PM »
Damn all this is confusing, I keep swinging one way then back again, I'm not sure if she can be trusted, I mean, she definately took Kate out into the jungle, whether that was alone or not I don't know, I think she really is afraid of smokey, I don't think she's really ever run into it in its own territory before, but I think she's seen it in otherville plenty of times (judging by the non flinching thing, I flinched) held back by the special fence that seems like it should be a breeze for it to get past. The main thing that makes it all seem fishy to me isn't even the whole lying to Kate thing and saying all that stuff about wanted her to think they were in it together so she wouldn't get left behind, it's doing all of that in the first place, surely it would've been more believable to wake up after being gassed making tea (like she said), Jack would've stood up for her regardless I reckon, I mean he did say it 'She's was left behind too' or whatever, why even bother taking Kate out there at all, that just doesn't make sense...... at all.
