« on: March 25, 2010, 02:46:46 PM »
What's up with Sledge Web just now getting to the episode from 2 weeks ago?  It's been 2 days since Ab Aeterno and zilcho in the way of screen caps and discussions on the home page.

Has anyone seen this?  The Daily Beast wrote about it.

Episode 5x10 / Re: What happens to future Ben?

I can't believe NONE of you think Ben's really dead.

Dudes, he's dead!

Even if he's not, let's start thinking about the implications if it's true.  Holy crap, you guys!  What does that mean?  Does the Purge still happen?  If so, who leads them - 'cause it ain't Ben!

And most importantly: Does Charlie still die?  LOL

BTW, how about Jate taking a backseat tonight?  Thank you, Darlton!

Maybe he is Henry Gale after all. ;D

Episode 5x09 / Re: Young Ben and Sawyer/Juliet

Little Ben just needs a hug; someone to love him. That could change his future as much as killing him (if his future can be changed, but I don't wanna get into that discussion right now.)

I do!
I think the future CAN be changed.  I think Faraday is wrong about that, and I'm betting that this season's episode titled "The Variable" will validate me!

Episode 5x14 / Re: Episode 5x14, "The Variable" Hype Thread

I've been maintaining that Faraday is wrong when he says you can't change things in time.  I think he's learned that the hard way.  My guess is that The Variable will reveal that Daniel was, in fact, wrong.

By the way, I'd just like to note that I'm finally no longer an Onlooker.  I've moved up to Background Extra, and that makes me feel better.  Not much, but better.

I don't know about anyone else, but in my opinion that kid was every bit as creepy as the adult version.  The way he asked questions, and the looks on his face.  That kid creeped me out!

Word.  It's like they coached him on how to bug out his eyes just right.

Not a "best line" moment, but every time Sawyer says "Son of a b*tch!" in response to something, I crack the hell up lol...

Me, too!  I also love how he changes it up.  "Son of a..." sometimes, and sometimes it's just, "...bitch!"

Dude...Your English is good.

Actually, I believe what he said was, "Dude, your English is AWESOME!"

Episode 5x09 / Re: Sayid...
« on: March 19, 2009, 02:44:27 PM »
My thinking regarding Sayid is this - he is going to attempt to kill Ben in the past since he now knows what young Ben look like. His attempt will fail miserably (you can't alter the past, what happened happened...) - he will inadvertantly cause a major breach of the pact between the Hostiles and DHARMA - this will lead to the purge - especially since Sayid is viewed as a Hostile just so he remains alive....

But, they're not jumping through time right now.  So, if Sayid was to do this, it would be when Ben is still just a child.  I can't see that.  Sayid may not trust Ben and he may believe that Ben is a bad guy but, it's not like Ben killed anyone close to him (we don't know for sure who killed Nadia)... or anything else that would create such a degree of vengeance within Sayid that he'd murder a child.

He's not a child.  He's a Ben-child.  Sayid said in the promo for next week that he now knows what he's supposed to do.  Whatever that is, they're implying it entails firing a gun.  Then again, we all know better than to trust a LOST promo...

And that might explain why Ben ended up back in present time and not in 1977.... because he's already existing in '77 on the island can't be there twice?

That's clearly not the case since Sawyer saw Claire give birth to Aaron, meaning HE was in two places at the same time when that occurred.

...I'm interested in where they put Hurley...

Apparently, the promo for next week showed Hugo wearing a jumpsuit with the word "chef" on it...

I'm not feeling the Rousseau's group theory.  The producers have been good about communicating connections between people.  I believe this is some brand new group.  We know about Dharma, the Tailies, the Others, and some ancient 4-toed temple and statue-building civilization.  We know there were slave traders and Rousseau's science expedition.  We know Calvin got into the hatch somehow.  Of course, there's Adam & Eve from Season 1...who the hell were THEY?

But in all these groups, nothing about these old-school milibrits.

Jughead will introduce and acquaint us with a whole new group, just to keep us completely confused.  Besides, we all need a host of new questions, right?!

Episode 5x02 / Re: Why Locke couldn't walk ... back then with Boone
« on: January 28, 2009, 05:16:15 PM »
I did think it was interesting that Locke finally had to climb that thing for himself.  No Boone or Eko to do it for him...and STILL he didn't make it to the top.

Maybe that's how the series will end...Locke finally crawls his own ass up there!

Dudes, Jin is the father.  End of story.
