If they stay on the island because they did something bad on the island, Ben is going to be a ghostie for a looooooonnng time after he dies!

Do you have to die on the island to become a ghost?

Just going off what Michael said to Hurley, that he was a ghost because of "what I did here."  My speculation.  What do you think?

Still, I wish they would address the question of why Hurley is able to see dead people...the fact that clued him into what the whispers were. 

Not bad, though.  The reveal makes me wonder how many ghosts are haunting the lost island.  Sort of a purgatory after all!

I'm with JB and the rest.  Ben will survive.  I am kinda thinking the others heal him somehow, that Richard gains his undying loyalty for this.  However, I like the cycle of Jack the Surgeon saving him as a child, and again as an adult, with the tumor surgery.

There's your island connection for ya.

Good point!  I hardly even noticed because the story moved so quickly and was so entertaining...I guess when there is a lot to say sometimes it is just easier to go from point A to point B....still good storytelling, though!

I agree that the characters were "off" for a reason.  They are not all sure that this is what they should be doing. Some of the parallels were orchestrated by them, others just kind of...happened.  Destiny.    I loved the flight, and the fact that Jack in his Grizzly Adams stage was actually on the right track about how to get back to the island!

I totally am going with Charlie visiting Hurley to get him to go back to the island, which kind of explains the guitar. I think there must be another reason for the guitar, tho...

I also choose to believe that Kate is indeed pregnant. Fits very nicely.  Give up Aaron, get your own kid.  Oh, and receate the scene.

I am going with Kate gave Aaron to Claire's mom.  It makes sense that she wouldn't want to tell Jack, because he was so obsessive about keeping their cover...and she  was upset because she lost Aaron and cuz she had to explain how this was her grandson...both traumatic experiences...

I also agree that Kate is preggers not only to recreate the scene, but because she also now knows and wants to be a mom, and NO WAY she'll get Aaron back.  It is a nice little tied-up package.  Very neat.
