Title: How does Richard know Locke has to die?
Post by: matahari on February 25, 2009, 11:12:03 PM
Widmore doesn't seem to know that yet. Oh WAIT! Epiphany!
Widmore notes that Locke hasn't aged since Charles was 17, but for Locke it's been 4 days. Richard doesn't age because he goes back and forth, and then loops. Richard has seen this happen before and knows Locke has to die.

There is a difference between "has" to die and "will" die...if I knew what it was I would share here!

I'll have to check what he says. But I remembered  hearing he'll "have to die"

The producers already said Richard is really old and simply doesn't age as opposed to time traveling.  I think they mentioned it in the show too.  Watch Richard get shot and killed too just when we're hoping to get some good answers.

Richard may be shot, but I'm sure it wouldn't kill him. If he's like Christian or Locke, and resurrected, I wonder if he could die twice?? I think probably not. Plus, Juliet said Richard has always been on the island. Why kill him now? What could kill him now? Nah, tptb are just keeping him mysterious so he won't have to answer any questions. They don't have to kill him for that.
