When Faraday asks "is all your party accounted for" and Sawyer says everyone but Locke -- Why does no one think of or mention what is up with Claire?
<Not a major point, but just struck me as strange>

I think we wont see Claire for a long time maybe not even this season. And this was a way for people just to assume that she is gone with JACOB/Christian for a while or something
-
I think everyone has accepted that Claire is gone and presumed dead.

I dunno. Things have been moving pretty fast. While Miles was there and saw Claire wander off into the jungle, he's not a very forthright member of the team quite yet. Locke has been sworn to secrecy by the island. Which leaves Sawyer, who often shares info when it suits him, just like his stash, unless he gets emotionally involved. Which he has become, with Claire & Hurley, whom he has tried to protect. But, since losing Claire, he's been dashing from the battle for Othertown, to the beach, to the chopper, followed by an ocean swim, then a disorientating hike through the jungle as time shifted beneath his feet. Perhaps not conducive to a frank discussion of the whereabouts of Claire. Which means they can explore that mystery later, when things calm down again. Or, since she wandered out of the jungle once before, maybe they just think she'll do it again...

Hasn't it been less than a day (island time) since she left? It's hard to tell because we go from day to night and back with these shifts.

It was strange to have no mention of her @ all, but I assumed @ that point that THEY are all assuming she's dead.
-
I wonder if Locke told anyone about seeing her in the cabin?
-
Doubt it. He also likes to hold info until it suits him, like back in season 1 when he discovered the hatch.

I thought the same thing... the first person that came to mind was Claire. Locke was already accounted for: he had left with the Others.
-
Sawyer didn't say Locke, he just looked at Juliet and the next shot was Locke, if I remember well.
-
Sawyer did say Locke

Sawyer did say Locke
I thought he did too. I just didn't make sense to me... Sawyer would still be thinking about how he lost Claire.
-
Ehhh I think Sawyer is thinking about Kate blowing up

This reminds me of a Wizard of Oz quote, "My! People come and go so quickly around here!" I also thought that Sawyer might say Claire, but I think he assumes she is dead or would not have left Aaron behind.
And, they needed a reason to flash cut to Locke! ;D

We know that Claire is with Jacob/Christian for whatever reason. I saw in a VCAST video the creators of LOST answering questions about this season and they said we will see more of Christian and why he always shows up in a black suit and white shoes. If Christian shows up, I would assume Claire is going to be there with him.
Just gonna have to wait to see what the dilly is with Claire.

Agreed. I thought it was strange too. I was yelling at the tv, "Oh my God, he forgot Claire?". I guess out of sight, out of mind. But you totally know Sawyer misses Freckles. Let's just hope there's a better explanation for Claire's disappearance in the future episodes.
