Well, When I saw Peanut returning fearlessly in a submarine I couldn't help but think in the first try he made to order things on the island, after his exile.
When Desmond used the failsafe they got a reading that could put the freighter near enough to search for the island.

Just a Background Set before I proceed: Tom, Ethan, Richard... the Others can go in and out the island a lot. The Others have lots of assets as high-security buildings, planes and docks for submarines. Charles get some of these well-organize others, tortures and kill them, as seem in the tape Ben showed Locke, but can't get any information on how.

Well, in the first chance to get the island location Peanuts Form 2 teams, one of island natives to track Ben and other of Mercs to capture him. Yes, no return, no retake, no nothing, just force Ben into exile as he was and screw who will take the leadership. He doesn't care.

Well, he get what he wants, Ben is exiled. Weird thing is that he continues to lead the Others, and can attack Widmore Lieutenants via Sayid. But he is OUT of the island and can't go back, even with the Others resources at his disposal.

Then, one day before he goes back, he calls Peanuts tell him he will kill his daughter as Peanuts got Alex killed, and brags that he is going back,to the shock of the millionaire. Kill Penny is a thing, but go back after exiled? Preposterous.

That brings me to the second island expedition, where Peanut HIMSELF is going,or better saying THROWING himself at. There is no interest in revenge against a man, he is simply doing something he is supposed to not do, and setting foot on island again. Just like Ben wasn't to do too.

That said, I can't get out of my mind the Others, as a group, simply fell apart outside of the island, as it did inside. Inside because of Unlocke's playings, outside because of Linus "betrayal".
I believe Widmore can have access to island routes simply because the others are no longer faithful enough to endure torture and murder as before. Hell, even to choose to stay silent I think they haven't faith anymore.

Episode 6x03 / Clue to the Loophole?
« on: February 19, 2010, 04:00:05 AM »
Well, Smokey just presented Sawyer with the concept of candidates, and told he took the form of one.
That made me think: That's the loophole Jacob referred about Smokey finally be able to find?
As like Smokey was forced to see the looping of candidate after candidate take Tawaret's foot place.
And now he found the way to break IN the line, instead of being a outside watcher?
Implication of it is that Illana's assertion of Smokey being trapped in Unlocke form could be more a self-imposed condition, to not lose the loophole he so hardly found, than a effect out of Smokey control.

Episode 6x01 / Huh, which complete statue?
« on: February 05, 2010, 03:07:31 AM »
At ABC's Flash-sideways page we can read:
4. Island and complete statue underwater.
The island and the whole statue are seen underwater, but in "Pilot," the Others and the survivors live on the island, and in "Live Together, Die Alone," only the four-toed foot remains of statue.

But that wasn't what I remembered to see, so I went back to that scene and checked.
Well I still see the left foot as the only surviving part of the statue, with even a thing that resembles a broken piece of the ankh on its side.
I am confused now. Why they gave one information to ABC and aired a different scene?

Episode 5x09 / Juliet and Ninja Claire
« on: March 21, 2009, 01:47:50 AM »
The woman in the back of the room, when Christian shows Sun the picture, is most probably Claire.
So I am briging a renew of a question already asked here:
Why Juliet, an Other, is dragged through time with the survivors, while Claire, a survivor is kept in her own time, as the other Others?
Same thing with Ajira flight... What marks some to time travel and some to not?

Episode 4x08 / Who made the set up?
« on: March 21, 2008, 09:51:55 AM »
OK, I did found very weird that minutes after the news announced about 815, Tom show Michael all the set up Widmore's people made to fake the crash.
My first thought was "come on, the others did it and made it look like as Widmore's plan". It was too fast for Tom to get those papers and let them prepared for Mike.
So what you people think about all this mess?

Episode 3x11 / Love and Games
« on: March 17, 2007, 01:03:49 AM »
Stupid Hillbilly. There is an old saying about luck in love and in games.
Why would the Big Bad Wolf think he could beat Jack in Poker and Hurley in Ping-Pong, when he get laid with Rambina and Freckles?
How many times the Red-Neck-Man will be badly beaten in games till he learns his lesson?

Episode 3x12 / Is really CHARLIE the one Desmond keeps saving?
« on: March 16, 2007, 03:09:25 PM »
After Par Avion I am starting to think that Desmond for some unknown purpose lied when he talks he is saving Charlie.
Ok, the Lightning Rod could be for Charlie. But the Drowning is very unlikely to be claiming only Charlie's life. If Desmond didn't acted, Claire would be dead for good, but we are not sure if Charlie would.
The seagull episode is even weirder. Wouldn't we expect that if Desmond didn't shot the time they were about to trigger the trap, that CLAIRE would run into the tagged seagull and HER instead of Charlie would break the neck?
This thing is just too weird.

Episode 3x04 / Slow start, less than 36 hours on the 4th episode
« on: October 28, 2006, 02:06:26 PM »
Next Wednesday the time passed in the 3rd season will reach 2 days.
After that there's only one episode before the pause.
Perhaps we will not even reach the third day of third season this year.
Might the impression of slow changes and lack of revelations be just due the fact they hadn't the time to do something significant?
And we might end this year with the empty hands and full minds?
