Title: Jack out of the cave?

How exactly did Jack get out of the cave?  I know we saw the same thing happen with Man in Black in conjunction with the smoke monster, but did he just float up and out or what?

I assumed they floated out. It makes sense as they ended up downstream.

I think when the pool in the cave filled up with water he floated out.

I have a stream running across the front of my property.  After a heavy rain, I sometimes find things washed up on shore that are not only heavy, but sometimes large objects and things that don't even float, like heavy metal objects.  Water can be a powerful force!

That has been my point - it is like what happened to MIB -> the Smoke Monster.  So following "the rules," Jack should be the new Smoke Monster.  That would have been a twist for Hurley to deal with in his first act as "new Jacob."

But as it was the last episode, the goal was to end plot lines, not begin them...right...?

Smokey knew the show was ending so he didn't bother with Jack! lol
