How long until we get an update with Jack's "vacation" in Thailand? Episode "Hunting Party" shows Jack married to Sarah with no tats (thanks Hurleysgirl).  Any other way to date this period?

Well, we know that Sarah leaves Jack in 2003 and that the plane crashes Sept 2004.  So we can assume safely that Thailand falls in to the beginning to middle part of 2004.  I don't know if that is what you are asking tho

For me the timeline is pretty clear:
Jack fail to save the guy - His daughter kiss him - Sarah leaves him - He goes on vacation - Got the tattoos - Sarah gets a new boyfriend - Jack start to act weird - Sarah ask him to sign the papers - Jack goes nuts - Sarah call Christian - Jack messes his father rehab - Christian goes crazy with the guilty - Goes to Australia see his daughter - Die there - Jack go grab his body - the palane crashes.

Smokey turned into Locke. That gave him the power of being always right. Hence he is the good one, winner of game and everything else for now on.
