1x4:

  • At the Australian Travel Agency, Locke says he has lived with his condition (being in a wheelchair) for FOUR YEARS, and that he booked the walkabout tour a MONTH AGO.
  • Locke indicates he has been talking with "Helen" for EIGHT MONTHS.
  • Locke tells "Helen" that he is leaving on the walkabout at the END OF THE WEEK.

1x19:

  • The SRMHI admission form for Locke's mother indicates she was born on October 15th, 1940. This would make her ~64 at the time of the plane crash, which means Locke is (on the island) a maximum age of about 48 (this is if his mother gave birth when she was 16).
  • The admission form also indicates that Locke's mother had previously been admitted to SRMHI in 1992, and 1995. This means Locke's flashback in 1x19 takes place during or after 1995 but before 2000 (when he would have been in a wheelchair).

2x3:

  • The moderator at the anger management session indicates that Locke has been attending for A MONTH.
  • In the session, Locke says that his mother found him A COUPLE OF  YEARS AGO. This means events in 1x19 would have taken place during or after 1995, but before or during 1998, leaving a couple of years before he is paralyzed for the events in 2x3 to take place (which would be during or after 1997 but before 2000).
  • Helen gives Locke a key to her place after they've dated SIX MONTHS.

2x17:

  • Seems to take place about the same time as 2x3 (Locke is still dating Helen). Locke does a house inspection for Nadia. We know from 1x21 that Nadia and Sayid left Iraq about SEVEN YEARS BEFORE THE PLANE CRASH. This means the EARLIEST Nadia would be in the LA area is 1997. This matches with our previous estimates of the earliest timeframe that 2x3 could have taken place (1997-2000).

Putting it all together:

  • 64 YEARS BPC - Emily Locke born
  • 12 YEARS BPC - Emily admitted to SRMHI
  • 9 YEARS BPC - Emily admitted to SRMHI again
  • 6-9 YEARS BPC - Locke is conned out of a kidney by his father
  • 4-7 YEARS BPC - Locke and Helen date
  • 4 YEARS BPC - Locke confined to wheelchair
  • 8 MONTHS BPC - Locke starts talking to "Helen"
  • 1 MONTH BPC - Locke books walkabout tour
  • 1 WEEK BPC - Locke invites "Helen" to go with him

I think I'm a lot like Locke, except for that Helen-Helen thing. He's a great guy, funny, smart, reads a lot, etc. One of my two favorite characters...

I think my post in Luther's thread is more in depth. I also am a lot like Charlie, my other favorite.

Sledge, are you working on an update for this to include all the info from last night's epi?

We have some dates from paperwork, and the clue that his dad is not worth talking about.  (The kidney incident already happened.)

But what about the info on his mother's age, and that he can't be older than 48 on the island???

From Eddie's police profile (fresh from the academy) we can place the events from the recent episode at year 1994 or 1995.

This means 9-10 years BPC

Or possibly, since Locke's papers for his Auto registration has 1997...

I'm thinking there may be a date error since Eddie's supposed to be fresh and he looks pretty young... not much older than 20.
