okay i was thinking today and Richard did say he saw all those people die... ok even though we didnt see him in the scene Jughead "exploded" in the finale... hed could have been in the jungle peeping... this is all assumeing they all died then... but Candle has survived we've seen in the Swan orientation film... how did he survive when all the others didnt? also assumeing they didnt change fate just played right into it causing the incident...

Correction -

He did not see the O6 die.  Aaron and Sun were not there.  Richard commented on the people that were there in the 1970's.

Who would have died in that explosion were Juliette, Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, Miles, Jin.

And various Dharma folks.
He could have seen the explosion from another vantage point and upon investigation found out who died.

I thought Miles father got away in time from the explosion. If there was an explosion then the Swan would never be built. So making the films would have never happened.

I still hear Hawkings words you have to push the button to save the world.

Additionally if Miles dies as an adult in the explosion, what happened to baby Miles who is on the submarine?

Juggy - he was with them but in current time - the bomb went off in the 70's Wink

If Miles dies as an adult in the explosion nothing will happen to the baby who is in the submarine. Baby Miles will keep on living until he returns back in time to the island....

This is true but he was also in the past in 77 as well... but he said " i watched them die" if he inspected it after wouldnt he have said " i saw them dead" ?

and i think they all did die in the finale... and next season is the timeline still going forward because as we know from sawyer .. their lives are already going on starting from the beginning... i think they will live their second lives with the knowledge of the last time line... maybe... its plausible..

i guess my question is ... did they change the past, or did they do exactly what already happened?Huh??

LostLady correct - I was being a bit like what the heck.  Does this change things though?

one crackpot theory i have is that they all did die in the jughead explosion... and the next flash is flashing them all starting in a more recent time in that next time line... maybe with knowlegdne of before... i mean we've seen Ethan, Ben, Aaron, Miles all as babays that are all safe... maybe they grow knowing whats to come... or maybe the second wave of losties come through.. like Ji Yeon, Clementine, Aaron, Walt, Charlie Hume.... we dont know whats to come of them.... yet.

Mrs. Hawkings did indicate that she did not know what was going to happen next.  So all up to that point could be seen as to what would happen, but then it changed and was that because of Daniel?

^ pffft. a mistake? nope.

the incident doesn't mean that thats when they all died.. season 6 will probably explore more of the 70's and ****.. obviously the hatch is built and what not, so there will probably be something else in which they are killed.

I think we will see what Richard meant during season 6.  Obviously, his line was meant to make people ask questions.  And this one has yet to be explained, so it only makes sense that the subject will be revisited.
