what if they do change things and the flight didn't crash but they jump forward one last time to 2008? past all time/ moments they already lived, up until now. and they have all the memories of everything that has happened to them? Is that possible? would that be more exceptable? this way they changed all the bad but kept the charactor's growth.

Iliked it for Newhart, but not for St. Elsewhere, and I hope they don't do it.  If they do itk and the main characters remember, it might be okay.

I don't know....I think I would be still somewhat disappointed....it would all be like everything was for nothing, almost. I guess it would depend on what got fixed and what didn't.

So I'm realizing a lot of people really do not  wants anything changed or fixed! I'm actually kind of surprised. I thought it would all be for nothing if they couldn't change things! lol

Yes, that I could live with. That way it wouldn't be like Newhart. To me there wouldn't be much point to the whole show if the Losties couldn't remember all what happened. Of course if the plane doesn't crash and lands in 2008 that might be a bit confusing for characters like Libby, Ana Lucia, Boones, etc...lol

Maybe those charactors would feel like Locke did when he woke up on the island after being dead for a while. So we have seen it happen.  Wink
this part I'm just guessing. but it's true there are a few things i don't understand going along with this theory.  Undecided

The "it never  really happened" is just such a cop-out and so over-done.  Erasing everything that happened would just be so sad.

Yea, actually "not changing the past".
All events shown in the past season still stay true would be what I prefer.

However, it still does not mean the Losties cannot change anything!
They can plant the seeds for changing the whole endgame and they have the time and effort in 1977!
Just their changes are not yet reflected in the show.
There is still only one timeline and the series of events from the timetine is caused by our favorite LOSTies~

Still obeys WHH, but fulfill fans' wishes for changing things...
Free will still exists on the island! Both sides happy =]
